Hollywoodn't (2009)
Like "Tales from the Crypt" meets "Entourage"
I loved this short, or I guess it's a pilot according to their website (which was also pretty cool.) If it's a pilot, somebody please put this on TV! Seriously, it's way better than that horror anthology series "Tales From the Darkside" that is always on Chiller these days, and that was done by George Romero who I love. Okay, so basically I think I get what they're trying to do here, it's like a "Tales From the Crypt" meets "Entourage", horror tales from people trying to get in, stay in or get out of Hollywood, which is like totally funny, and also completely like how my friends and I experience Hollywood. I thought the acting was frigging' awesome and some of the camera shots like the one above the fan, or the zooming into the lead actress eye at the end -- very cool. I'm totally quoting that line to my friends "pizza...what the f--- does L.A. have to do with pizza!" Yeah, coming from New York, that line cracked me up. And his whole pitch, so awesome. You should watch the whole thing, but if you just watched Act II with the pitch of his terrible movie, so funny...I won't give that away. You got to see it. All in all, I give it an 8 only because I thought it'd be more violent and faster paced like the trailer, but I'll be waiting for more episodes for sure.
