The Neighborhood: Welcome to the Other Butlers (2024)
It's forced
I would say this show has been a good watch But nothing special and around the 6.5 range overall but episodes like this really Drag it down.
It's fine to put social issues in Shows, but the problem is when it feels forced and overdone, some shows do it and it feels natural and you notice it but it's not in your face. This episode is definitely one of those forcing the social issues down your throat. It doesn't feel natural and it's just in your face annoying.
I've seen Shows go both ways and sure enough the ratings start to show and can ruin the show. An example I like to always Mention is the rookie it's a great show and there's been multiple times they've dealt with social issues, but it feels natural and it fits in the show.
I'm happy this show Isn't this annoyingly in your face all the time but this is about the third or fourth occurrence I can think of which isn't good.
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit: All Pain Is One Malady (2023)
A good episode to end in pain
When there is a good show and it has spin offs, it can be good to do crossover episodes to elevate the show and give a longer run for a bigger story. Crossover episodes becoming an issue when it happens more than once a season and they are not labeled as part one or two just like this episode was. By doing this, it makes it confusing for reability and trying to figure out where the following episode is for the rest of the story. Another example of how this is done poorly is The Rookie, an amazing show that spawned a spin off But had over four crossover events, forcing people to watch the new show, which is now but canceled. If order continues to do this, it will hurt viewership, and anyone new to following the series.
Ghosted (2023)
Good
It's about what I expected from an Action Comedy, like someone else said, I don't get all these really bad reviews. It was a fun movie. Reading the other reviews, it makes me question. What type movies they actually watch or like, I like a range of movies and this was just something fun to take a night to watch had some fun comedy and some good action. I always love when there are random cameos by famous actors and this one had at least three that I caught, especially when Ryan Reynolds shows up in a movie for less than a minute.
If you are on the fence of watching this movie, you will probably enjoy it a bit more than any of the low ratings did.
The Rookie: The Con (2023)
Great episode but...
Although this is a great episode, as usual, for The Rookie it hurts that so many episodes are linked strictly to the rookie feds like this one as to binge a show or to catch up. You're having to constantly figure out what to watch when and in what order which can get confusing and turn people away. Right now the rookie still has strong ratings, but the rookie feds is lacking on most accounts which makes me scared for the rookie. If Feds ratings, don't come up for the show continues to go down. I feel like it is a sinking ship that could drag the rookies ratings down which nobody wants to lose that show.
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (1999)
Going downhill
Started to binge the show starting around season 12 and was a sold show with Rafael Barba being my favorite character, when he left the show still was sold until Season 22. After covid some shows handled the situation great while others drove head first at it cause the story to suffer. SVU starts to have covid around with mask and all but it acts like it's because more normal. As season 22 goes on it starts to reference how change needs to happen in the social justice system, which has happened in previous seasons, but not as head-on, and in a tacky manner. Another issue is the best shows don't get too political and ride the line. SVU starts to get more political referencing heavily on events like January 6, but didn't mention any of the destructive riots that had happened prior. As I am still watching and catching up on the show if it continues like this, I will no longer be interested as happened with Station 19 when the story's plot suffered and lost it's heart.
The Rookie: Feds: The Silent Prisoner (2023)
Forcing views
Decent episode but this show has come to the point of relying on The Rookie viewers to watch. This show has so far had countless crossover episodes and only 10 episodes in at that, either the show is trying to streamline its viewer or the show was not trusted to do well so they heavily rely on these type crossover episodes. I feel like this show will be renewed for a second season but I'm kinda hoping it's not so I don't HAVE to watch it to complete a story/episode of The Rookie. I'm hoping The Rookie Feds changes to rely on its own story rather than the writers having the shows views coming from forcing the crossover views.
On the Line (2022)
Good Movie
I've seen movies in this style before, some better some worse. This one moved at a good pace and didn't feel dragged out like some would.
Spoiler kinda
Some people don't like how this ended and it annoys them but for me I found it great and laughed. The endings isn't something you would guess and surprise you which I like. It's not often a movie has an unexpected twist as so many movies are predictable now days. Other movies the whole movie is shown in the trailer but with this it doesn't give away Main details.
If you like movies you can't expect and just enjoy movies I say give this a shot.
The Rookie: Feds (2022)
Falling flat
This show seems to be trying to expand from the success of The Rookie and parts of the latest episode felt like it was trying to go a criminal minds route. The show falls flat and while Nash's character was a great guest in The Rookie she doesn't have the draw to carry The Rookie Feds. At this rate I'd be surprised if this show make it. The Rookie built its way up over the years expanding on characters and growth. The Rookie Feds should have started more on its own in the Rookie universe instead of the crossover style and cameos in the first few episodes. This is otherwise another generic cop/FBI drama and without a way to stand out it will not go far.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine: The Good Ones (2021)
For a great show they really dropped the ball.
Show has been great but once I heard the show was rewriting things based on real event I was scared the show would go downhill. Watching this episode everything was forced and the show shot itself in the foot, the only redeeming aspect was Amy & Holt story till the end. If the show continues like this I'm glad it's ending. Hopefully will get better and more like it was past seasons.
Station 19: Get Up, Stand Up (2021)
Kept skipping through parts of this episodes
Kept skipping through parts of this episodes, they were basically repeating everything the news won't shut up about. Other shows are showing the pandemic and social issues pretty well but this one keeps pushing it into your face. I try to always watch shows through ups and downs but if this continues I'll have to stop watching. This show started strong the first couple seasons.
