Naked and Afraid: Opposites Don't Attract (2022)
Season 14, Episode 8
6/10
I am only giviing it a 5 star rating for the reason of that ejit and offenisve person Nathan.
2 May 2023
This episode is a lesson on how not to treat a person whether it is male or female. Nathan is completiy up his own arse and his so called expertise showed him up when he climbed the coconut tree. I really felt for Molly who was doing her best especailly with someone so ignorant and anti social. I hope molly gets anther chance at entering Naked and Affraid episode again. She was more than capabile of pulling her weight and Nathan !! I have never met someone as condesending. I think the producers should have made him leave although in saying that at the end of the episode karma seemed to have bit Nathan hard as he ended up tapping out.

Blue Lights (2023– )
8/10
I enjoyed this police drama.
29 March 2023
Being from, lived, experienced and witnessed the worst of NI through the troubles., I have just finished watching the complete six episodes of Blue Lights. And contrary to some other reviewers on this page I enjoyed the drama and laughed at the ni humour throughout this series. Naturally, it is a tv series and I suppose you have to allow for a certain amount of 'artistic licence' in these type of programmes. But I have to say the sequence of events on the drugs/gun running and or 'sneaky beakers' is very much a realistic story that occurred quite often in the quest for law and order in our we country N. I. I have to single out the character PC Gerry Cliff played by the excellent actor Richard Dormer. I do hope there is a second series to follow.

If you have watched Gomorra you will enjoy this
28 August 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Having watched all previous series of Gomorra i thought this was an excellent movie, acually i was hoping this was a double bill for the followup series of Gomorra. It really gives an insight into Ciro's backstory and you could see the tortured soul of Ciro after what happened to him( and his family) in the last series of Gomarra. I couldnt believe this film was approx two hours long, it was gripping from start to finsh I wasn't expecting the climax at the end and i wait with baited breath on serries 5 of Gomarra . Loved this film with the storyline and and how it all ties up with his prevoius life in Naples.

Is this a spoof !
21 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I have watched the first four episodes, and it just dawned on me, is this all a big spoof show. Between repeated scenes and the two main' actors' telling us repeatedly about their high tech equipment and how to get into Escobar's inner circle. I have started to doubt whether the two main presenters have been in the CIA. A waste of good viewing time.

Very Disapointing
2 December 2018
As a bit of an American history buff,f I was looking forward to watching this movie, especially when it was supposed to be based on a true story. How disappointing !! The acting was very amateurish especially the native Americans. Furthermore, as another user has commented on, the producers must've did much research on the authenticity, they ( native Americans), all looked like something out of a school play, not one of them looked remotely like them. they looked all like white men dressed up, and the hair!! the wigs were terrible. Also the girls, all white teeth and plucked eyelashes. I was expecting so much and it was complete let-down. These flaws overshadowed a good story.

Interesting historical story but locations let it down.
18 August 2013
Warning: Spoilers
As a keen follower of anything historical I was looking forward to watching this series and as far as the factual content, it was as near as you'll get (allowing for a certain amount of artistic licence). I found it enjoyable watching the dramatization of our yesteryear instead of reading academic history books, which at times, no-matter how interested you are in the subject matter it can be a heavy reading. The core storyline was very interesting and shows the influence the women had, and the conventions that was followed in this period of our history. I thought the acting was very good and to counter one other review I thought the dialogue was in keeping with that period. What unfortunately let it down big style, was the location settings. The castle grounds/courtyard where so much of the action happened, was not authentic looking at all and when I checked up where the 'The White Queen' was filmed it was in Belgium !! What a let down,- when you think of all the magnificent location's in England e.g.. castles etc. or even anywhere in the UK it could've been filmed. I can only imagine it must have been cheaper to film in Belgium than the UK. To me this was a major flaw in the series. . I thought the storyline and subplots were absolutely riveting watching and you really had to sit glued to the TV encase you missed something.

Next time employ the location manager of Downtown abbey and you will then have a 10 out of 10 review

Brilliant series
7 November 2012
Romanzo criminale was hidden away on the Sky arts channel and I'm glad i found it. I have watched the three series devotedly and i must say this was one of the best TV programme I've followed. In my opinion, its an Italian version of The Sopranos, if you've ever watched the Sopranos you'll definitely enjoy this. The whole series was in sub titles and I think the sub titles added to the intensity of this show. It goes into very graphic detail of the rise of a criminal gang in Rome, starting from the seventies. All the characters were believable and I wouldn't be surprised if it was based on some criminals of their time in Italy/Rome.

Watchable western
13 July 2012
Warning: Spoilers
I must admit i like watching all the old westerns, enjoyable enough, would be a candidate for a remake (without the singing). Good storyline but the singing holds it back from being a better western movie. I would rate it a version of a type of Roy Rodgers movie. Unfortunately the only actor i rate as below par is the main star himself, not believable as a cowboy as well as his sidekick Shiloh, but i'm sure there must have been a reason to cast these two actors. All the other actors/actresses have made a successful career since this movie and it is quite interesting reading to see how some of them have made it,especially the two female actresses .
