The General was funnier, but this one is well acted
12 January 2003
This seems like a remake of "the General", John Boorman's film on the life of Martin Cahill. The plot is almost identical, only The General seems to have had a touch more flair to it, and was a good bit funnier. Brendan Gleeson cracks me up in a way that Kevin Spacey can never do - just hearing Brendan say "morder" for murder is enough to set one to giggling....
