Good film overall but weak on concept of Capitalism at large
4 October 2009
It was as usual well put together and with ample entertaining footage embedded into the documentary. But the focus on foreclosures was far exceeded everything else as if fall of capitalism can totally be explained and its virtues rebuked by having many foreclosures. If you see this film in 20 years when the real estate is doing very well and there are no foreclosures then this film loses its power of persuasion. Because of that this film may not stand the test of time too well. I also wanted to see More emphasis on corporate America and its power of absorption and loss of individual identity. Touching on corporations gobbling up more and more corporations and taking power away from individuals. The The film still touched on many interesting subject matters and convey them very well. Overall I enjoyed and it was smart in many levels.

Really good film, refreshing, smart and funny
5 August 2009
I thought it was a really good film, clever and funny. This film was really about human relations touching on all aspects of life that affect us all such as religion, racism, nationalism, etc. The drug trafficking was just an instrument to bring these characters together. And I agree with the other reviewer that it was a conscious decision on part of the filmmaker to make the characters totally stereotypical. It worked for me. It was hilarious and drove the message home. Also the film had many heart-felt scenes and moments that tend to stay with you. The characters also stay with you. They were pretty likable and fun to watch. Having said all that, I think the film would have benefited from developing the story a bit more around the drug trafficking.
