Paul McCartney Really Is Dead: The Last Testament of George Harrison (2010)
Too funny
It gets such a high rating for the absurdness of it all.
OK, more or less everything to say about this has already been said in other reviews. I did enjoy it, it's fun to look at some of the "clues" into the alleged death of Paul. More or less, it is interesting, at least I always found the Paul is Dead conspiracy fascinating.
For every 1 "WOW, what a co-winky-dink" moment there are at least 5 "not for 1 second do would anyone believe that" moment especially if you are at all familiar w/ the Beatles time line/history.
If you want some fun into the alternate reality of the Beatles then give it a whirl. I would suggest to watch it for free from Netflix, you'll feel horrible about yourself if you actually spent money on this.
Oh and by the way, I think this video debunks this hoax.........or maybe that never happened? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jNBIyGxV7Ek
Labou (2008)
Just watch Goonies
I'm flipping thru the channels and I see 3 kids w/ a small creature in one of the kids backpacks. Immediately I was reminded of Gizmo, then Mac from Mac and Me and ET. THEN I read the description of the movie.
"3 kids go out after school to see if there is truth to a legend of pirate gold." That's the plot of Goonies.
Since I can't rate it a 0, it gets a 1 out 10 of which really is extremely generous. This movie is really that bad, even for a direct to video kid's movie. More or less, make your kids watch this movie as punishment.
Save the trouble and just watch the Goonies.
