Osombie (2012)
7/10
Actually not as bad as you would imagine!!!
16 May 2012
I noticed the cover to this film and first thing i thought was "oh dear god... really?" but that also gave me the reason to actually watch it. Obviously i was expecting a terrible B movie, and admit i was presently surprised. It was an enjoyable and easy film to watch, and was action packed from the off.. Although it has a silly idea behind it with whole bin laden angle, i reckon most zombie fans will see this as pretty enjoyable.. the zombies make up was exceptionally good when seen in close up. Few really stupid bits in the film including a female soldier slicing up the zombies with a sword... (did'nt realise they issued these in the us army!!) and a couple of cheesy scenes. but all in all worth a watch...

Low Budget, Poorly Acted, Terrible Script..

Usual premise, bombs gonna go off, been left by terrorists... blah blah

Fair enough, obviously not much money involved in this production. And it looks like the film does the best it can. Character build up is left until we get in the bunker, which is within about 10 mins of the film starting. But to be honest there is no care for any of the characters. The government official is very annoying, as is the American woman. The film itself is only 1hr and 15mins but seems like it drags on. The film is let down by its poor acting, and the mutant zombie victims from the nuclear explosion are pretty lame, as is their make up. The die hard zombie fans out there may want to watch this just to say they have seen it, but to be honest i would rather watch a repeat of 28 days or weeks later.

The Office (2005–2013)
10/10
well what can i say really!!

This show really is outstanding, in fact its the only show i think i can rate as a 10.

From watching the original uk series back in 2001 on bbc TV, i never thought an American remake would stand any ground whatsoever. When the first series aired in the uk it did'nt really make its mark, and unfortunately never caught on. I was disappointed when it disappeared from our screens, and then quickly forgot about it. I thought it had 1 series and crashed and burned. Then one day i was checking out the reviews for evan almighty on IMDb and noticed that steve carel had still been making this show. I had to get hold of it and see it, And to my joy there was 5 series waiting for me. I never get into TV like i have done with this, i ended up watching 10 episodes in a day, i think i did all 5 series in just under 2 weeks. This show is funny, its acted brilliantly, its over the top, totally crazy but totally entertaining. If your ever down just bung on a couple episodes from good old dunder miflin in scranton and you cant go wrong.

Gervais said that 2 series of the office in the uk was enough. And that he did'nt want to take it further. I know he helps on the US version, and i sure he is surprised to see 6 series already of what i can only describe as the best American sitcom of all time!!

Weak over the top and a waste of your time!!

From the offset this movie fails in a very spectacular way. Agreed that the effects are visually stunning. But it fails to help this film from falling flat on its face. The jokes are somewhat humorous, here and there, but the story line itself is way over the top. The best thing in this movie is Woody Harrelson and unfortunately he is not in it long enough!! And talking about long, this film goes on a bit.

I not going to bore you with long comments, cause quite literally the film is not worth it. Its definitely the worst of Emmerich's disaster movies, and is so unrealistic. Take the kids to scare them a bit if you want, in fact that is the mentality of this film to be honest.

And yes, yet again its set in the US of A and yet again the Americans are the hero's, Are we not getting bored of Glorification of America and how great Americans all are in movies. Should of taken a leaf out of Peter Jackson's book and set it elsewhere as he did with district 9.

basically its a big pile of visually stunning cheese, but make of it what you will!!
