Very entertaining.
1 July 2006
I watched this when it first aired a few years ago, and I've seen it a few times since. It's very entertaining, and I've seen a lot of really good films thanks to it's list.

It's addictive as well. If you haven't seen it before, once you start, you'll want to watch the whole thing. Which could be a good or bad thing, because it's 5 hours long.

I don't agree with some of the choices, but overall I think they did a very good job. They added some of my personal favorites ("The Devil's Backbone", "Audition") that may be unfamiliar to a lot of people watching the show.

Definitely worth checking out.

More creepy than most horror films nowadays.

Being the first silent film I saw, I sort of had low expectations beforehand. I was pretty much desensitized by many movies I had seen where they were listed as "horror" (so I figured they'd be scary) but they were just psychos hacking young people up. That's what I had gotten used to. But Nosferatu was a lot different than I had expected. I didn't expect to be scared or at all creeped out in the least after it was over, as closed minded as it sounds, but it didn't really hit me until I went to bed right after I saw it, and turned the lights off. Added to Max Shreck's creepy film presence in the movie was the silence. Which was much more creepy than I would have thought by the way.

The genuine creepiness of this film, i'm sure, will scare even the most desensitized movie fan. Nosferatu makes me very excited to see more silent horror films in the future.

Are people still paying money for this?

I didn't exactly have high expectations before I saw this film, but yet somehow I wanted to die before it was over.

This movie wasn't scary, if anything it was a comedy, even though it was so pathetic it didn't make me laugh, but feel sorry for the other people who wasted money on this crap. The hype for this movie made me want to throw up. How some people find it to be a milestone for the horror genre is beyond me. But I guess it's good to know if I ever need any money, all I have to do is get some of my friends, go in some woods, and start waving the camera around, while screaming.

I'm sure Barney's Great Adventure is more scary than this. If you haven't seen this "film", take my advice when I say, You'll have more fun looking at the nutrition facts on a box of cereal for and hour and a half.
