OK I'm a pretty big Brian D. fan.

I got a chance to see this film in NYC at a special screening. I have to say the 1st 10mins seemed to indicate the film was going to be exciting.

WRONG. Its basically a waste of your time to see it.

No plot. Absolutely terrible visual affects. Where these done on a 386?? I really wonder what they were thinking when this film was done.

So the movie focuses on what 2-3 soldiers claim to have seen in Iraq. I do know that the rap scene has now been proved to be false. With that said, is this film out there to make a statement about the US military. I certainly hope not.

Folks stay away from this film. BORING!!!

OK, so you watch this movie which was made in 2002 and think the comments by some here are correct. Specifically I mean that this injustice is Bush's fault.

Well sorry it shouldn't be a political issue, but in fact it is. These Drug War laws were initiated by a Democratic Congress, not actually Republican.

Yes I'm a Democrat by need to set the record straight.

OK so Susan Walker, who basically was tried, convicted and sentenced to 20 years just because her boyfriend was dealing drugs. This type of sentencing was very regular during the 1990s. Both Bush Sr. and Clinton didn't do to much about. Under Bush some 23 wives received the same sentence and under Clinton the # is over 120. Mr. Clinton also did nothing.

In 2000, George W. Bush actually had all these cases reviewed and 95 of these cases were over turned.

This story takes you through one of the cases, but is actually true events from 3 different women. Susan obviously is the focus of this film but the personality is from a GA women (Daniel in the film) who also was released. Her character is played by Rachel McAdams. The 3rd women, whose name was never released is still in jail.

Its a wonderfully intense film to watch. For a TV production they did a great job with the time-line. Again understand the events are not all that of Susan Walker.

OK I gave a higher rating then the movie is really worth, but just getting the laughter from this film is worth it.

The action is standard Segal action, lots of fighting and butt whipping. You can really see what this film intended to be originally - obviously an alien movie.

I love the parts where it goes from Segal speaking his lines, to John Wayne speaking Segals parts. I mean its just so funny.

So if you are looking for one of Segal's best movies this isn't it, but its funny as heck.

I do wonder, why would the studio think this would be better then what they had. What moron thought this up??

OK for the guy who said people didn't like this movie for the nudity and/or the gore - wrong! We didn't like this movie cause it has no story.

The problem with this movie is

1. Bad writing

2. Terrible Directing

3. Horrible acting

We were laughing at the serious parts in this film.

OK so I'm not going to spoil anything here, makes no sense to do that. The film's first 10mins are painfully slow. Viggo is actually very good in this, I like how he handled this role and seemed very convincing at times.

As for the violence and nudity - they didn't offend me at all. I found the gore to be very different from a lot of other films. I do have to admit though, the background music and the color of the blood reminded me a lot of some of the older Friday the 13th movies.

Now, I like William Hurt but his role is joke, sometimes painful to watch. Thank god he has some really good films in the works!

One other thing, nothing against anyone else in the world.. but only Italians and Spanish folks should be making any kind of film involving the mob. See the mob is not supposed to be funny in this movie, but they make em out to be stupid and it really disrupts and tension that is trying to build!

I suggest DO NOT SEE THIS FILM. If anything wait for video.

I had the misfortune of watching this 'film' as a permier in Romania on holiday last week.

With 20 so people in attendance this film started off very poorly and at least 4 left during the first 1/2 hr.

So the film starts introducing each character with their perspective of of the final scene. Each character is basically doing their business and all connect at the end of the film.

The problem with this film is it does resemble a lot of a Michael Moore film. Where some fact is taken then stretched to make it more interesting. See in this film, the 2 murders buy high powered rifles off the internet using a Credit Card and shipped over night. COME ON, its not that easy to buy a gun in the US.

Then, they get so stereotypical in this film. Girls making themselves throw-up, the 2 gun men having a gay fling before they go on the killing sprey, etc. etc.

I say, don't waste your time with this film. Its horrible!! When the film ended there were but 7 people left in the theater and people were laughing at this attempt.

Being a Hard democrat and wanting really to see this movie for a few weeks now, I was so disappointed in the end.

Lets see the problems with this film. Well, like his other films, he seems to take some truth and stretch it really far. I left the movie writing down some "40 facts" and looked them up after the film and found that 32 of them were either 100% wrong or the #s he used were very off. He did this in so many of his other films, none of which I really liked.

Is he a communist? No, he is just a very over weight, not so good-looking bitter person. It seems he just hates anything but the Democrats - which in the US doesn't fly. This is a country of free will, of choice - we have to live with what and who we have as President. I voted for Clinton term 1 and will admit he too made mistakes and wasn't the best President (prob very far down the list of great Presidents).

So lets look at the film. Moore again takes real interviews and images and puts little side notes in between, which is getting real annoying!!! Ok but there are some really good intense parts, that get you to think, but then Moore again comes on screen (as ugly as can be) and basically kills any facts you might believe there.

I also wonder if the advertisements for the film will be pulled, I know there is some rule that states you can't donate to a campaign that is within 30 days of a primary election. Moore is donating 30% of his profits to the John Kerry. I think this is a violation and we will probably hear about it soon.

Final word - wait to video (or after Kerry losses election). This will not help Kerry, this will only allow Bush to pick apart the movie that has so many mis-facts, or false #s.

This film has its funny parts, some good special affects, but the plot again is awful. I have to tell you the worst part was the dad seeking out his son from Philadelphia to NY in the worst storm in history! I mean come-on!!!!! Terrible acting through-out.

I see they tried to build characters here, but it didn't work. The whole father son thing was ridiculous.

Also - you would think they would have more destruction in the film, show more action scenes. NOPE, just a few. I mean if you are not going to have a darn plot, at least show us that!

The only bright spot on this film was Emmy Rossum, she is just so cute.

For any review about a 3, to me, just hasn't seen the movie. The movie has a terrible cast of wanna-b actors, and the writing and directing is horrible. The movie has NO point, no story.

This movie also has some serious scenes of disrespect. -couple having sex in the Vatican - in the confessional. I'm sure the writer and director are NOT Catholic or even Christian. Being a Hollywood I think I can figure out what religious denomination wrote this. Again, they have taken a stab at the Catholic church showing their lack of respect for any other religion..

This movie should be avoided by ALL - just because it is really bad.

If you think you are getting OLD SCHOOL - you are NOT. BEWARE!!!

Yes of course there are some silly parts, but Will Ferrell is just awesome. He is just so funny. I recommend seeing this movie for the pure humor and fun that it is.

I saw the movie in a sold out theater and it just added to the humor with the whole audience laughing at the same time.

I recommend for sure!
