From God of Thunder to court jester
13 October 2022
If this is how his new owners see Thor, then I humbly suggest to hire Jim Carrey to play Thor. It'd be a much better fit. I read hundreds of Thor comics and what I saw in this movie has nothing to do with it. Thor is myth and honor, drama and sadness. Losses and epic victories. In this movie instead you see Gods dancing and mocking, you see Zeus using his weapon like a juggler at a Circus show. Thor Love and Thunder is the worst Marvel movie ever. By far. Point is it won't be for long, I bet Disney destruction of the Marvel Universe is far to be completed. Stan Lee is turning in his grave.....

Leonardo, Leonardo ma che tu pensi d'esser Brad Pitt ??
9 February 2005
Well, Leonardo Pieraccioni is a wonderful Italian comic actor, but after a great debut it looks like he has slowly lost the way. He's stuck on the same kind of stories and movie after movie it becomes always more difficult to entertain his public. He always plays the the part of the "single" which finds the love of his life going thru some, more or less comic, situations. Point is that the female leading role is always played by the super-model kind of girl, a girl for which every male in the world would fall in love and especially men like Leonardo Pieraccioni which do not exactly looks like Brad Pitt. Therefore let me suggest, dear Leonardo, for your next movie change the plot, find something else. Something like "Amici Miei" would fit you perfectly. And, if you really want to pursue the Love Story plot again, forget about the top model and look for a real girl.

Pupi Avati's master...flop !!!
21 July 2003
How, an excellent director like Pupi Avati managed to write and direct such an awful movie only one year after his thriller masterpiece "La casa dalle finestre che ridono" is one of the mysteries of cinema. The cast is practically the same of the previous movie, but somehow here they look all a bunch of beginners. The plot leaves open space for a good horror movie, but you do not understand whether this is an horror or a comic movie. Result is a complete disaster !!! I am a fan of Pupi Avati and I saw most of his movies, but this one....beware you unaware spectator.....TURN THE TV OFF !!!

Not one of his best
23 April 2003
Not one of Salvatores best, but still a good movie. The "rewind scene" is unexpected and all the stories well cross one another. Abatantuono is fine as usual, but I wonder how would have been the movie with Bisio playing Angelino. The impression is that Salvatores has abandoned the typical italian stories like the one painted in Marrakesh Express or in Tournee to run after more international plots. As an italian I am a bit disappointed. When I first saw Marrakesh Express I thought I was seeing a part of my life on screen and, like me, most of the italian boys of that generation did. Here we are in front of a movie with a "movie" plot, in a few word something that normal persons never go through during their lives (notwithstanding I have physically been at the Amnesia in Ibiza). Nice to see, but not emotionally involving like his first movies.

Nice mixing between history and romance
15 April 2003
Notwithstanding Johnny Depp is one of my favourite actors, I think he might not be the best character for this part. He has not the"physique du role" for playing an addicted middle age inspector in the 19th century. How could I say, he looks too healthy !! Also Heather Graham is definitively too pretty to play a 19th century street whore. The best thing in this movie is the atmosphere that only a city like Prague can give for a 19th century large city reconstruction. It really looks like you're living for a couple of hours in those days. The mixing between history and romance is very well crafted and acting is quite good. The bitter ending, so uncommon in an american movie, is unexpected and therefore appreciated. The impression is that the story would have deserved a longer time to describe it better in all its many shadow points. However a 7 is well deserved.
