I really don't understand why this movie has such bad ratings. its really not that bad. I'm a huge sci-fi fan and after seeing the bad reviews this movie was getting i was a little skeptic about watching it and definitely had low expectations for it. but 10 mins in to the movie i was like "what's every one on about, this sh*t is pretty good!". I knew how it was going to end because haters posted it all over the internet, so it kind of spoiled the fun for me. but if i didn't know the ending, i could imagine how i would've enjoyed it a LOT more.

What i really want to say is that, if you're in to sci-fi/alien invasion and fancy CG movies, don't be disheartened by the critics and the bad reviews. Just give this a chance and decide for yourself. I personally am GLAD i watched this and enjoyed it very much!

Piranha 3D (2010)

Another movie where you get to see college students getting massacred. i'm sure everyone's seen this type a 100 times so no point in getting in to the story.

this movie was flawed from to to bottom. nothing really worked out well for it. i know there were a lot of women flashing their titties, but for some reason, i didn't find it sexy. I mean how dyu go wrong with tits? this movie wasn't the smartest movie in the world, but with the name like 'Pirhana' you can't expect much anyway.

I didn't think they brought out the violence enough. at no given point did i go like 'daaaang that must hurt'.

CGI was bad. and no one should watch this in 3D. Seriously!! All in all, i'd say this movie is 'ok' as long as you watch the DVD on a Sunday afternoon when you got nothing better to do. Not good enough to waste money at the theater.

The Expendables (2010)

Very VERY entertaining

First of all i must say..i am very pleased with the cast. you take the lead actors of all the greatest action movies in the past 3 decades, you get the expendables. absolute star studded cast.

If you're a person who finds it mandatory that a movie has a rich story line, this movie is probably not for you. but if you can appreciate an action movie purely for the "holy shiz that dude got his head blown off" factor of it, your gonna love this! I am however disappointed about 1 thing; the fact that this movie had some big actors, where clearly they couldn't all fit in. It seemed like Arnold Schwarzenegger was thrown in there just for the heck of it.

But seriously, if you want some serious mindless action and violence with extra guns and muscle, this is the movie!!

Operation: Endgame (2010)

Operation Endgame Sucks!

Every now and then there comes a movie that makes me want to write a review on; just to do the world a favor and help people save their money and time.

Do not bother with this one. It's got a good cast which tricked me into watching it. But when you take a good cast and hand it over to a developmentally retarded director, you get a movie called 'Operation endgame' The director clearly didn't know what he wanted. It was a wannabe comedy mixed with a wannabe action flick, that has no humor, little action and a wee bit of gore. It was a mess. It was so bad, that i don't even want to finish this review.

so i'll make it very simple; acting - bad, character development - there WAS none! cohesiveness - wasn't there, action - OK i suppose, comedy - bad, script - bad, plot - wtf?! overall - 2/10; only because i'm a nice guy:)

Cop Out (2010)

Do NOT watch this movie!

Unless you are looking to have a nice time with a bunch of old buddies and some beer watching bad movies, don't watch this!..

I'm gonna keep this short and sweet; Bruce Willis looked like he was only acting in this movie because he was too bored to be home. but that is not the problem.

The 1 single biggest problem with this movie that makes it hard on ur eyes and ears is, Tracy Morgan! The worst acting I've seen in a movie in a LONG time.

I'm not gonna waste any more of my time on this movie. Neither should you!!

Unthinkable (2010)

Unthinkable - A must watch!

For me this movie wasn't so much about terrorism. Simply put it was a movie that mainly revolved around the following questions: 1. Can you tell the difference between right and wrong? 2. What would happen if your strength/morals are seriously put in to the test? 3. Are you who you think you are?

The 1st half of the movie was pretty much stuff you've seen a dozen times before.The evil Black ops guy, who's got every1 by the balls cus his heartless methods are going to save the day; The woman who's basking in the facade of her morals; The bad guy who's portrayed in a way he'd end up being the audiences favourite character. and of course the bureaucrats in the background who are only trying to save their behinds.

Although somewhat predictable, the movie takes its turn halfway through when the characters are really put in to pressure. Its as if the angels become demons and every1 realizes the devil has always been right.

I thought all the actors played their roles very well. Jackson hasn't changed much since pulp fiction of course, but played the most entertaining role in the entire movie (As usual). Moss and Sheen (Especially sheen i must say) played their parts beautifully and were very believable.

This is a good movie, no 1 should miss it. I liked it very much. Except for the last second which kind of annoyed me :)

The Fourth Kind (2009)

Fans of the subject matter are going to love this

The only thing about this movie that makes me think twice about my rating is the fact that the creators have gone to shameless extents to try and give the audience a chill. They seem to have shot most of the scenes twice. 1 which looks very amateur and is presented as real footage. and the other is a recreation of the supposed real footage. But in reality, they're both just fiction. At times I felt that this technique was kind of 'Trying too hard'. But it seems to serve the purpose.

Although there's nothing great to mention about acting and effects, I thought this movie really lived up to its genre. More than CG aliens and space ships, this movie was about people. and how they try to deal with what happens. How people cannot tell the difference between what's real and whats not. And how some have to keep their sanity through chaos because what they do affects others. The 'supposed real footage' was really effective at points. It really makes you think about the subject. I don't usually get scared watching movies, but this movie really managed to creep me out.

I think 1 main criticism against the movie is about how shamelessly they lie about the validity of its content. But one should remember, all movies are fiction. If you're looking for facts, you should watch a documentary.

Law Abiding Citizen (2009)

Good movie bad ending

I would have given this movie a 9 had i not watched the last 15-20 minutes of the movie.

Movie started off by rushing through the incidents that took place that lead to the present. In away this was a good thing for me to have the sad boring stuff out of the way to make way for the good stuff.

I really liked the way the movie built up its plot. And was done in a way that the audience would really feel for the bad guy. So every time Clyde kills someone, you tend to feel somewhat satisfied.

However, towards the ending, all of a sudden the movie didn't look so smart as it started off. What seemed to be this brilliant plan that was plotted by a brilliant tactician over 10 years turned out to be something that was loosely put together and only got this far because he was lucky enough to not get caught. The whole brilliance of the movie was taken away in the end by revealing secrets which weren't that great, and poor direction at the end in hopes of making a dramatic effect.

However despite the poorly done disappointing 15 minutes in the end, the movie was good. it was entertaining. and was unpredictable. It keeps you at the edge of your seat. and you keep thinking 'oh man this guy is great!'. if you stop watching the movie from the point where nick tallies up the expenses, and leave the remaining for your imagination, you'd get a 10+ movie. But if you finish watching it, you will feel cheated!
