Very Jane Austen
5 April 2010
Warning: Spoilers
This movie follows literally how Jane Austen wrote it. It's very oldish, very 1800 century like England. This is good film made from the book. Sort of make out of it. 'Cause we all know what Austen books are about. Full of romance and drama in the past centuries. So the plot is not anything knew. I think Gwyneth Patrol suites very well for the role. She has something old like beauty and fresh look to give. Naturally is her word. Although, I couldn't understand why Ewan McGregor was chosen for the Mr. Fairfax part! But anyhow, worth watching for if nothing else to do and you like costume movies and romance ala Jane Austen.

Sucked.
16 February 2010
Warning: Spoilers
Nine was full of known stars as Nicole Kidman, Sofia Loren, Fergie, Kate Hudson, Penelope Cruise... The plot was dump. Who can have financial support, clothes designed and sets ready for a film that don't have screen-writing? Just name Italia...even without slightest idea what it would be. Best parts were about dancing and singing. Specially the group acts. If only the cameras would have give the rightness. Fergie was rocking hard all thought her part in the movie wasn't important for the film itself. Matter of fact it was useless for the scene. Penelope Cruise managed to be magnificent in hilarious and sexy way. All thought I'm kind of bored her one face expression. Kate Hudson and her glamdance with the hot Italian guys was fun, especially the guys. Kidmans act was the weakest. Why was she in the movie at the first hand? There was no need for her either. Anyway, this is far behind of Moulin Rouge which had at least meaningful plot.

Make peace not war
28 January 2010
Warning: Spoilers
It's not how excellent the movie was, 'cause that way I think it was mediocre, but how important the message in the movie was. You can't blame all for one mans mistake. And I don't mean just George W. Bush but all the things in the world. If you get robbed by midget you can't say all the midgets are robbers. Sadly, that just seems to be the case nowadays. What was even more embarrassing were adults attacking innocence kids. Blaming them. Like they could have voted for the matter! They had absolutely nothing to do with the war. Let children be children. But I guess there will always be hot headed people just to make their point. And I think Iraq war will always be one of those issues that will press someones blood pressure up. Anyway, golden purpose and true story...isn't it always worth to watch?

Happy ending true story
24 January 2010
Warning: Spoilers
The Blind side is very touchy movie and happily a true one. About a boy who don't have anything and probably would never have if it wasn't this family, specially this woman. First she just want to help but after a while she notices how special that boy is and just need a little push, someone to believe in him. His no good at school 'cause nobody have ever bothered to really teach him but he got one sense over the all. He got really high protecting instinct. The Mother of the family pushes him to use it for his own good, to play an American football. It is so good we still have people who are able and willing to help others, able to make happy stories like this to be true. And against the odd's welcome someone to your house and to your hearts. Love it!

The idea must have sound better than it looks
23 January 2010
Warning: Spoilers
Tropic thunder is full of known Hollywood actors. I can imagine the film is sort of get together and do something funny- movie for the actors. And the idea for the movie have probably sounded good, well better, than the result was. At least Clooneys gang makes real good movies when they get together! I think most of the jokes have come from the actors real world job situations. Thoughts that need little edging to be hilarious. Why can't we just say this is based on true story? Why can't white actor apply for a role of a black man? Who can tell when were acting and when were not? There's lots of jokes that usually are played in sitcoms. And some of them are real good, so that you can laugh your ass off. Their good 'cause it's based partly on the actors status we think they got. Like Tom Cruise is funny 'cause it doesn't seem any Cruise like. But it wouldn't bee funny at all if it was played by some unknown UK actor. Otherwise the plot is really boring and nothing new.

Surprisingly good
22 January 2010
Warning: Spoilers
I'd never read the books, but the film was very entertaining. The world seemed similar as in Potter films, but refreshing comparing to other fantasy films. Not too 3D or too computer like. Although I think one of the air pictures were taken from France, Paris. It was like the way to Trocadero from the Eiffel tower point of view. Of Course manipulated by computer. I loved the dusty and foggy look. And how it managed to look old like in some Japanese mangaserie movies. Story was exciting and adventurous. It kept me sitting and watching the whole movie at once. And thought the main focus was probably for younger viewers I enjoined it. Well, they could have shown little bit more Daniel Greg than they did, but I guess I just have to stare The Quantum of solace next. Nicole Kidman reminded me of Marilyn Monroe in her all so golden looks and blue eyes. I wondered if she had contact lenses to make them seem so opal and turquoise. But anyway I really liked the film and was shocked to know how low it was rated in here!
