N25 (2010)

An emotionally moving experience
2 February 2010
I recently saw the short film N25 and I was surprised how much I related to the characters and the dilemma they each faced. The movie started off light hearted and a little rowdy, but the climax and the ending moved me to tears. I could imagine facing the same choice and wondering, what would I have done? Not many short films have evoked such uneasiness in it's viewers. N25 was very well acted. Each character was convincing from the young girl and her heartfelt expressions to the old Jamaican woman, acted splendidly by Sandra Scott. Ms. Scotts' brilliant acting nagged at our sense of right and wrong and even at the end made us look deep inside our own conscience. I was moved to feel many emotions, so much so that I actually cried at the end. I remember hoping that someone would come to the rescue. The director was able to pull you into the drama in a way that was brilliant and frightening. When I got home I couldn't stop talking about it. I'd love to see it again.
