Fantastic Croc Film. Does not have the big budget effect of Rogue but it does not need it. The seedy realism of the story makes this Aussie flick a true gem. Scary & disturbing throughout & extremely well acted. A slight sense of mixing the graphics when showing the beast where the film uses a variety of real life action shots of crocs, this however adds to the appeal of the movie & encourages a more truthful scenario by using a realistic size crocodile. Plenty of action & suspense as well as a formed hate yet acceptance for the croc as it shows us the truth of it's natural hunting environment. Shot in suburban NSW but you would never know.

The second installment of the franchise unfortunately was Richard Harris' last before his death. In this film we see a development of two major characters in Dumbeldore & Tom Riddle(Voldemort). Dumbledore is magnificently played by Harris as a warm & enchanting character with a big heart & soft spot for Harry. Harry starts to face his true demon in this film with Voldemort playing even more powerful mind games. We still do not see Voldemort in the flesh however his presence as the character is widely seen through Harry's character. Watch for the wand duel between Malfoy & Harry when Harry speaks parcel tongue, this scene is very intriguing & an interesting part of the story. More gruesome than the first film & possibly better, this Potter sequel is brilliant. Kenneth Branagh steals the show as the new professor & is very funny however Jason Issacs is ideal as the evil yet prestigious Luscious Malfoy.

Darker, stronger & more magical. The Harry Potter Film franchise continues to get better with each installment. Forget the fact that the movie is never as good as the book. You can't get much closer than this. Books are 700 pages long & whilst virtually impossible to quote the book word for word, The Half Blood Prince takes the best from the text & puts it onto the screen with a bang. Harry & Dumbledore finally adventure together as a team in attempt to defeat Voldemort whilst the School Of Hogwarts is under attack by his army. Possibly the best of all six films so far & will be hard to top again surely. Explores Tom Riddle well as a boy but could have used Ralph Fiennes in some form during the film as Voldemort or earlier. Maybe next film??

Complex & Action Packed. Training Day hosts the Denzel Washington at his best with his witty humour & exceptionally clever attitude. This film does explore the nature of good cop, bad cop between Washington & Ethan Hawke but more interestingly shows a corrupt drug crime fighting unit that Hawke as LAPD Cop Jake Hoyt alone must battle. Truly scary stuff with the thrilling situations Hawke finds himself in including a very traumatic bathtub scene. Washington is definitely the bad guy but you can't help liking him because of his smooth talking & heroic type lifestyle as Detective Alonzo & his black 1979 Chevrolet Monte Carlo lowrider. Must See.

This is the first of two 'officially' released Guns N' Roses Concerts exhibiting one of their best live performances during their mammoth early 1990's world tour. The word 'official' is imperative for this band as they have very limited Geffen releases even though they were one of the most popular bands in the world in the late eighties, early nineties. This release is purely for true Guns N' Roses fans as Axl Rose does not display perfect vocals at times but is at his best in his most raw form. The set list is an excellent mix of Use Your Illusion & previous albums but must be complemented with it's sister release in Use Your Illusion II to get the full effect of this concert series in Tokyo, Japan. 'Nightrain' proves an energetic opener but it is not until 'Pretty Tied Up' that we see what this band is truly made of. Ironically this is possibly the best track on this video & it is from Use Your Illusion II. Also not to be missed is the infamous 'Welcome To The Jungle' intro & classic November Rain with Piano Solo.

I sit here wondering why I enjoyed this movie so much. Maybe it was the idea of another situation horror? Or possibly the fact that it has Samuel L Jackson in the lead? Probably both. I've now seen this film twice & enjoyed it more the second time, perhaps the title the first time around was a tad ridiculous. The reason this film is quite respectable is due to it's non stop action & it's simplicity. It actually seems possible that this could happen with snakes slithering through the nooks & crannies of an aircraft & how once the pilot is effected then all hell breaks loose no matter what the situation. You want to know what each snake is capable of & are keen to see who the next victim might be. Strange? Yes, Stupid? No. If the idea is still too much to comprehend then watch it for the witty humour & the Boa Constrictor. Oh, by the way, next time you fly check under your seat.

When watching Pulp Fiction for the first time in 1994 I felt confused but promised myself that I would watch it again when I was more mature & able to digest such a clever production. Recently I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed watching this film again & easily can put it in Tarantino's top 3 behind Reservoir Dog's & From Dusk Till Dawn. The film is clever in every way but especially the way it explores the past & present & how you develop a liking to Tarantino's characters who are killers & criminals. Each character is a hero in his or her own way & it is riveting viewing to find out what happens to them next in their individual story. So what's it missing? Not much besides that fact that it is a film that you need 'to watch' to understand it & it must be taken with tongue in cheek at times due to it's black humour. Two more reasons to watch it.
