D-War (2007)
Hilariously bad but entertaining
To start off, you cannot take this movie seriously, its another movie based off an old Asian legend. The plot makes very little sense if any, very difficult to follow, the acting was pretty mediocre at best. But to be honest, the movie was entertaining, it was almost non stop action the entire movie, which is what kept me from turning the movie off. However, the action was fairly well done, the battle in the city was the best part of the movie, the action shots were pretty impressive considering how poor the acting and the plot was in the movie. Again, you cannot watch this movie and look for a deep plot or story mainly because you will not find it, but the movie is entertaining, and even funny at points, just because the fact that there is a legit war going on between humans and dragon/dinosaur type things. Not a good movie, but a good time waster, or good if your looking to get your fill of action and destruction.
The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003)
One of the Best Films of all time
This movie, hands down was one of the best films of all time. A shear example of Good vs Evil.
I cannot even put onto words how good this movie was. The story followed the first two films without a flaw, the acting was superb with the exception of Frodo whose role as a weak and pathetic character got a little annoying by the middle of the first film. But nonetheless this film is a real tearjerker, it is a perfect example of chivalry, hope, and courage in the face of impossible odds. I loved how well the actors got into character, it made you really believe that such a place as middle earth really existed. Most of all I loved Aragorn's transition from a lowly ranger to his rightful place on the throne of Gondor. The movies battle scenes were nothing short of fantastic especially the siege of Minas Tirith. Granted the movie was slow at points in order for the story to fully develop, but who can complain, there were no points in the film where the viewers did not know what was happening or why something was happening, like with the relationship Farimir had with his father. This movie will send shivers down your spine, especially when the Riders Of Rohan make their long awaited presence on the fields of Pelennor in order to relieve the defenders of Gondor of certain defeat. This movie has such redeeming value it is too hard to explain in words, it is something that you will just have to see for yourself. My only problem with this film is the ending, simply put their were far too many of them making the movie drag out longer than expected, but it was necessary in order to complete the story and for it to make sense.
The Boynton Beach Bereavement Club (2005)
Absolute Discrace Worst Movie I have ever seen!!!!
To be honest, i don't understand why this movie even exists. I went to see this movie with my friend only about a week after it came out, there were two other people in the theater, and they did the smart thing by leaving not even halfway through the film. I don't know how to even begin on how bad this movie is. The plot, if you even want to call it that, consists of Grandpa trying to get his groove on. I can understand how this might appeal to some viewers,as long as those viewers are senior citizens. But nobody under 65 wants to see old people trying to "do it" Granted their were a few funny moments in this film, but the lack of plot, old exposed bodies, and just lack of overall togetherness completely outweighed the two scenes of comedic relief. The one thing that did not completely bomb about this film was the acting, all in all the acting was not horrible considering that the majority of the actors were more "seasoned" On a more gentle note I can understand what the director was trying to do, trying to show how becoming old is difficult, loss of loved ones, companionship for older citizens etc, but why it was even put into a movie is beyond me, like I said before nobody under 65 would want to waste time watching this garbage.
Paranormal Activity (2007)
Definitely not the scariest movie of all time
The only reason that i even bothered watching this movie was because of all the hype "the scariest movie of all time" This movie did not even come close to its name. The first problem was the camera view which was taken from the perspective of somebody videotaping the whole time, had the same problem as the movie Clover field, shaky camera, distorted view of the whole set. The second problem was that it was just not scary, period. Over 45 minutes into the movie I was still waiting for something remotely frightening to happen. Most of the scenes were taken in the bedroom, where the sheets would move, or the door would close, lights would go on, I was expecting levitation, sounds, shadows etc or maybe even the appearance of the demon, i have seen scarier things on the discovery channel. Most of the time the "paranormal activity" would happen out of the shot, leaving the viewer staring at a empty bedroom for several minutes. The biggest flaw of all was the commercial, everything that would even be considered remotely frightening was seen in the commercials. So all in all this movie will make you jump a few times due to startling sounds, but fails in comparison to other films of the same genre, it even fails in comparison to the ghost show on discovery, to be honest that show does a much better job of actually frightening the viewers.
