More Star Trek than Star Trek!!
24 August 2023
I'm a 46 year old man with a love of all things sci-fi. Up until the last few years I'd always said that my favorite tv show of all time was Star Trek TNG but that has been tested recently. The Orville was a show I almost passed by and if it wasn't for Disney Plus I probably would have and all I can say is thank goodness I gave it a shot. It was absolutely fabulous with really good acting, silly but appropriate comedy and some terrific moral messages sandwiched between some amazing stories. Hopefully they will make a 4th season but if that doesn't happen, even though I'll miss it, I'm glad I had the privilege to see it.

Fleabag (2016–2019)

A breath of fresh air.
11 December 2022
For some reason up until the recent Indiana Jones trailer debuted I'd never heard of Fleabag or it's main actress Phoebe Waller-Bridge. 1 week later and i've finished both seasons of the show and not only is it 1 of the best british shows out there but miss Waller-Bridge is in my list of best actresses of all time. So funny, at times heartbreaking and all acted with perfection by the entire cast. Olivia Coleman is amazing as the evil godmother, Brett Gelman is totally disgusting as Fleabag's brother in law and Sian Clifford almost steals the show as the uptight and damaged sister to Fleabag but with the heart of gold.

Can't recommend enough.

The Offer (2022)

Best show of 2022 so far!!
2 August 2022
To tell everyone the truth i pre judged this show and decided in my ignorance that i wasn't interested in watching it since it was only about the making of a movie. I then was told by a friend who's taste in movies and shows is similar to my own, that this show was the best thing he has seen on tv since Game of Thrones ended a few years back. This obviously changed my outlook on watching it and i watched it in it's entirety over this past weekend.

2 days later and i can only say that this is must see tv show. The acting, the sets, the attention to detail are incredible. I can honestly say that i will never look at the masterpiece which is the Godfather again in the same light, and i mean for the better. Knowing all the difficulties which were overcome to make the movie has made me appreciate it even more and even though it's hinted at the making of a Godfather Part 2, i'd love to see a second season of this show to get even more background on the making of that movie.
