10 Episodes!?
7 July 2013
Thought there were more episodes.

As a kid in the 1960's I probably saw many repeats.

Didn't matter, was great viewing.

Don Ameche is perfect as the ringmaster.

The acts were world class...

People could see a circus in their own lounge room.

I'd be right up in front of the telly.

My! As a kid I'd hold my breath sometimes at what I saw.

I give it 9 out of 10.

And not just because me and Don Ameche share the same birthday.

Favourite Cartoon
3 June 2013
When I was a kid back in 1960's. This was and still is my favourite cartoon..

Since the first time I saw show have never forgotten the song!!!

Same as I can never forget Marine Boy as well...

Recently I purchased complete series. By memory 51 episodes(don't quote me on that)

WOW!!! as an adult watching it now, I don't understand why this was! My favourite. BUT!!the kid in me,says 'shut-up' IT'S GREAT!!!

Apparently the word 'favourite' isn't spelt correctly!!!! When ever I submit this review... favourite is high lighted... Sorry to say IMDb.com, but 'favourite' is the CORRECT SPELLING........ cheers favourably to all

What Did You Say?

Bad pun, I know!

I grew up with deaf parents here in Australia.

Born in 1960 and I never knew this film existed, until this week-end past.

Saw it on Channel 9 Sydney. Totally enjoyed it. The Sign Language was authentic.

Even the way people interacted with the deaf, was for me,what I saw happening around me as a kid.

A lot of people back in the 60's&70's here in Australia didn't know sign language was a Universal language.

They thought it was special sign's, families made-up for family members and interaction with a deaf person in the home... I hope a lot of people watch this movie.

Deafness Is Not Disability...

Alvin Shown the Door...
8 September 2010
Was on ABC TV here in Australia, if memory serves me right was at 8:30 pm. Had already watched the movie and its sequel "Alvin Rides Again" and as a 15 year old there was no way I was not going to see this.

Didn't last long though, was taken off the air because of complaints from viewers who found it obscene ( wish they had of just change channels, instead of forcing ABC to drop the show ).

I have no problem with nudity on television or in a movie, but I do have a problem with people who think, just because they don't like what they see then they believe I shouldn't watch it either. So much for free choice. Please! If you don't like something, thats fine. I respect your decision, at least respect mine and just grab the remote and change the channel, not my viewing habits.

The Littlest Hobo (1963–1965)

1960's Favourite
8 September 2010
As a kid growing up in Australia in the 1960's, this was one of my Favourites.

Remember this was on during school hours and I would feign sickness just so I could watch it in the mornings.

Littlest Hobo was named London and he was a German Shepherd. Suppose you could compare this to "Highway to Heaven" in some ways, as Jonathon Smith (Michael Landon) would travel around and do good deeds, as did Littlest Hobo but without the help of...

Can still picture him sitting on the freight train in the opening sequence ready for the next adventure. I give this 8 out of 10 and that is because I am biased.

Good Ol' West.
8 September 2010
Glad this was a Serial (Universal Pictures) and not a 60 minute 1930's Western.

Enjoyed each and every 15 chapters. I reckon this is the best of the 5 Western Serials, Johnny Mack Brown appeared in (he only ever appeared in 5 serials). The others are:

'Fighting with Kit Carson' 1933. Mascot Pictures. 'The Rustlers of Red Dog' 1935. Universal Pictures. 'Wild West Days' 1937. Universal Pictures. 'Flaming Frontiers' 1938. Universal Pictures.

In 1934 Johnny Mack got 3rd Bill in Mae West's "Belle of the Nineties" and Fuzzy Knight played one of the Comedians.

'The Oregon Trail' was the next film they both appeared in and was the start of over 30 films with Fuzzy as Johnny's sidekick.

Ford Beebe the Director also directed the Serials 'Flash Gordon', 'The Green Hornet'1940 and 'Buck Rogers'. He also directed all 12 movies in the "Bomba the Jungle Boy' series.

Has anyone actually watched this movie?
13 August 2010
Have watched many times and also the serial it came from... Love the old science fiction movies... Especially in black and white... Yet I wonder if any one has really watched this oldie... Every time I have seen it, one thing keeps bugging me about the character of Buck Rogers... Here on the IMDb site for "Planet Outlaws" the military rank of Buck is Colonel... Yet every single time I have seen this movie I distinctly hear Buck Rogers being referred to as Lieutenant ( excuse the spelling )... Not once in the movie have I ever heard Buck being referred to as Colonel Buck Rogers... Probably not the best review posted to this site but it is my first and thought I would put this to you all... I give it 5 out of 10... cheers
