Two matches in this reviewer's opinion saved Wrestlemania, John Cena and Batista and The Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels were first class efforts.

However let's get the bad out of the way first. Bret Hart vs Vince McMahon was a terrible match and the storyline were Bret screwed Vince with his family was really lame not to mention confusing. I know Hart had a stroke in 2002 and hasn't wrestle in 11 years, but I nearly fell asleep during this erm match. Fans popped when Hart locked on the sharpshooter the first time, but they gave up when Hart began teasing using the move on McMahon, they couldn't be bothered and I didn't blame them. Fans did cheer when Hart won but I think they cheered because the colossal bore ended and they were relieved.

The 10 diva tag match was a shambles. Which road agent was in charge of this match? Having Vicky Guerrero perform a 'frog splash' off the top rope on Kelly Kelly was pathetic and she even botched that as well! This reviewer would have preferred to see a match between Beth Phoenix and Gail Kim vs Michelle McCool and Layla.

The Money in the Bank Ladder Match had far too many participants (10), ideally 6 would have had been enough and it felt overly rehearsed. It did have it's moment's for instance such as Matt Hardy hip tossing Evan Bourne off the top of the ladder, Kane choke slamming Dolp Ziggler on the ladder and Kofi Kingston using the ladder as stilts. However I feel the WWE picked the wrong superstar to win. It wasn't long ago Jack Swagger was feuding with the comical Santino Marella on Superstars, it's way too soon to put the belt on him and as I write this he cashed in his briefcase from Chris Jericho and won the World title. Winner should've been Christian.

And the Unified Tag Team title match pitting defending champion's The Miz and Big Show against R Truth and John Morrison was met by silence from the fans in Glendale, Arizona and get this, fans cheered Miz and Show when they won.

But Wrestlemania had it's bright moments as well, The CM Punk vs Rey Mysterio was very good, would have been even better if it was allocated 5 more minutes, Chris Jericho vs Edge was a good match even though some fans cheered Jericho, Randy Orton vs Ted DiBiase vs Cody Rhodes was a cool match (fans have caught on to the Orton face turn) and in a shocker Triple H carried Sheamus to a decent match! The real gems are mentioned on the top of this piece. After months of stellar promo's on Raw, John Cena and Batista had a great match surprisingly which ended when Batista tapped to Cena's STF which unfortunately looked terrible on Batista, Cena was obviously not applying any pressure and his arms were not clearly touching his chin/neck.

And The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels had another classic match. The whole HBK stuff was awesome when he done the throat sign to the Taker, the look on his face was priceless and the tombstone was great at the end. I just can't believe that Michaels won't wrestle ever again but after watching this match I can safely say Mark Calaway and Michael Hickenbottom are the 2 best performers ever in the history of the WWF/WWE.

Overall grade - A-

A film so silly it's actually quite good and entertaining! OK, lets be honest the chances of martians coming to Earth looking like that are absolute zero, there's no denying that on close inspection they do look frightening. This reviewing nearly soiled his pants when the martian girl played well by Lisa Marie appeared because she was frightening and you knew just what it was! Many people state that having Tom Jones in the film as himself was a mistake. I disagree, Jones is very good in the role and adds some humour.

The ending where Slim Witman's music is playing and the aliens can't stand it is just so damn funny! Overall grade - B

Wrestlemania was held in Houston, Texas and the show was decent. That said 2 of the WWE's most reliable superstars (Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker) saved this show from being mediocre.

The Money in the Bank Ladder match was good but was let down by botched moves, like for instance Shelton Benjamin was going to sunset flip power bomb MVP off a ladder but Porter was late releasing his grip, which resulted in both men falling to a heap on the floor. WWE didn't need to have Mark Henry, Finlay or Kane in there, they could have put the likes of R-Truth, The Brian Kendrick or Evan Bourne in with Kofi Kingston, Christian, MVP, CM Punk and Shelton Benjamin to make it more interesting.

The Rey Mysterio vs JBL match was a waste of time, 21 seconds long? Why bother putting it on a super show? Oh yeah to make room for Kid Rock's abysmal singing which lasted 11 minutes but seemed like 11 hours. This was one of the reason's why the WWE unified tag team title match pitting Carlito and Primo against The Miz and John Morrison was cut from the PPV to make room for Kid Rock. If Kevin Dunn generally believes that he done good making this decision he needs his head testing.

The 25 Diva battle royal was abysmal. Not memorable at all, Trish Stratus made the right decision turning the offer down to appear on it and Santino..... oops sorry Santina Marella winning it seemed like someone's idea of a joke.

I was hoping that WWE would have put Chris Jericho in there with Ricky Steamboat alone. My fears were confirmed when they announced that Steamboat would be teaming with the ancient 64 year old Jimmy Snuka and the barely mobile Roddy Piper. Give Steamboat his due he had a very good 4 minute scrap with Jericho at the end. But the result with anti-climatic, fans sensing a feel good ending were baffled when Steamboat lost.

The Triple Threat match between Edge, Big Show and John Cena was OK but not the best, Big Show was totally knackered but looking at Show's age (37) weight (440 pounds) and his condition (knackered)it's no wonder he's feeling the strain of wrestling long matches. This isn't the same Paul Wight who wrestled in WCW were he was billed as the Giant. Wight who could execute moonsaults and standing drop kicks in WCW, has never really fulfilled his true potential and never will.

The Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels was outstanding. Possibly the best match at a Wrestlemania. Undertaker won with a Tombstone. Watch out for when Taker landed on the camera man, that was Sim Snuka (yes the same Sim Snuka who used to wrestle as Duece in the tag team with Domino, and hasn't been seen for months) Results from the show: CM Punk won the MIBL match which also featured, Kane, Finlay, Kofi Kingston, Christian, Shelton Benjamin, MVP and Mark Henry.... Rey Mysterio downed John Bradshaw Layfield in 21 seconds to win the Intercontinental Championship.... Chris Jericho downed Jimmy Snuka, Roddy Piper and Rick Steamboat in an elimination match.... John Cena defeated Big Show and Edge in a passable triple threat match to win the Heavyweight title.... Matt Hardy pinned Jeff Hardy in a good Extreme Rules match.... Santina Marella won the diva Battle Royal.... The Undertaker pinned Shawn Michaels in a superb match.... Triple H defeated Randy Orton in a disappointing match to retain the WWE title.

Overall grade - B/C

No Mercy was a very good Pay Per View. Featuring good performances from most competitors, a lively atmosphere from the 11,000 people in attendance and a nice array of moves this has been the most consistent PPV since Wrestlemania 24.

A few minor complaints - firstly the match between Beth Phoenix and Candice Michelle was rubbish as would one would expect from a match featuring Michelle. The women has no wrestling skills, crap mike skills and doesn't interact with the audience. 'The Glamazon' on the other hand needs the right opponent (Melina, Mickie James etc) so she can have a decent enough match.

The Rey Mysterio vs Kane match was good but the finish was abysmal and failed to make any sense. Why would a man who wants to see his opponent unmask is he loses smash him senseless with a chair and in the process get himself disqualified? I expect this kind of finish in TNA.

And the Batista vs JBL match was just passable but thank the lord the WWE scriptwriters kept it short at 5:18.

And now for the good - Matt Hardy managed to carry his opponent Mark Henry to a decent enough match but being lumbered with fat slob Henry kind of give me the impression that WWE doesn't give a toss about Hardy's career, Hardy deserves better.

As soon as I heard that the Undertaker was going to enter a feud with the Big Show I had a panic attack because I suffered flashbacks to their mediocre feuds in 2003. Happily though Show entered a fine performance against' The Deadman' and WWE booked the right finish in where Show scored the win with knockout punches.

And now for the damn right marvellous - Jeff Hardy and Triple H had a cracking match, featuring world class performances from both man, they put on a superb show, Triple H won of course.

And finally Shawn Michaels and Chris Jericho put on a great display in a dramatic and worthy Ladder Match. I have to say this whole Shawn vs Jericho feud has been the best for some time.

Results from the show, which was held in Portland, Oregon on October 5th: Matt Hardy downed Mark Henry in a decent opener.... Beth Pheonix defeated Candice Michelle.... Rey Mysterio defeated Kane via DQ in a good match.... Batista pinned John Bradshaw Layfield in a passable match to become to no 1 contender for the World title.... The Big Show defeated The Undertaker with knockout punches.... Triple H pinned Jeff Hardy in an excellent match.... Chris Jericho defeated Shawn Michaels in an exciting Ladder Match.

Overall Grade - A-

Well where do I start? DAF is a very good Bond film but at the same time it's just strange, perhaps it's the cloning (what nonsense) of evil SPECTRE boss Blofeld or perhaps it's the odd job pairing of Kidd and Wint who are supposed to be gay (even though they make superb baddies). It's so strange that it makes the film very good.

Jill St John who played Tiffany Case started off well as John's character was fearless who put Bond in his place but about half way through the film becomes scared of the least little thing and become's flirty. However John's performance in the film is strong and whilst not remembered in the same context as say Honor Blackman in Goldfinger (1964) she and Bond make a good couple despite the flaws as mentioned above.

This reviewer enjoy's the scenes in the desert in Las Vegas and especially the scene where Bond fight's with Peter Franks. Joe Robinson played this role well but is it just me or does he look like WWE superstar Paul 'Triple H' Levesque? Casting Jimmy Dean as Willard Whyte proved to be a hit with the viewing audience and Whyte has some great line's for the film including when Bert Saxby tries to kill him and the CIA kill Saxby Whyte shouts to Bond "Tell him he's fired!!" A major disappointment for the film is casting Charles Gray as Ernst Stavro Blofeld. Gray was far more effective in You Only Live Twice as Henderson. Here Gray is a colossal bore who does nothing except bark orders out and push buttons. And what sense does it make to have him without a mark on him? (Remember in You Only Live Twice he had a scar running down his face and On Her Majesty's Secret Service he had no ear lobes). In this film Blofeld is perfectly normal, what sense does that make? DAF does prove to be a Bond movie favourite but as stated above it's not with out it's flaws.

A passable Wrestlemania.

Firstly lets get the bad out of the way. Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart fought for the WWF Heavyweight Championship in a 60 minute iron man match. However the match was mediocre and bored fans senseless with their methodical rest holds and boring moves. The match was restarted at the 60 minute interval and Michaels pinned Hart to capture the belt, but no one cared. At least 5,000 fans walked out on the match near the end because they were bored.

'The Ringmaster' Steve Austin downed Savio Vega in another boring match. Austin did not like this gimmick at all and was made worse by the fact that he was managed by Ted DiBiase who still thought at the time it was the year 1988 and not 1996. Austin was relived when DiBiase left the WWF for WCW at the time which was understandable.

The Ultimate Warrior squashed Hunter Hearst Hemsley in 30 seconds. Warrior refused to put Hemsley over in any way and even demanded he kick out of the pedigree, not believable at all. Triple H has stated many times that he found Jim Hellwig "The most unprofessional person, he's ever stepped into the ring with". Considering Triple H's record of winning nearly all his matches and screwing over people (Booker T at Wrestlemania 19 and Rob Van Dam at Unforgiven 2002 and many more) he's got a bit of a cheek.

The PPV does have it's highlights though, such as the Hollywood Backlot Brawl featuring 'Rowdy' Roddy Piper and Goldust (the sight of two wrestlers chasing each other down the highway at the time was unbelievable, even though some of it was footage of OJ Simpson) and the match between The Undertaker and Diesel was fairly decent.

Results from the show which was held in Anaheim, California: Owen Hart, The British Bulldog and Vader defeated Jake 'the snake' Roberts, Ahmed Johnson and Yokozuna in a fair 6 man tag match.... 'The Ringmaster' Steve Austin downed Savio Vega in a mediocre match.... The Ultimate Warrior pinned Hunter Hearst Hemsley in a 30 second squash.... The Undertaker downed Diesel in a fair match.... 'Rowdy' Roddy Piper went to a non finish with Goldust in an entertaining Hollywood Backlot Brawl.... Shawn Michaels defeated Bret Hart to capture the WWF title in a poor match.

Overall Grade - C

Judgment Day was a good Pay Per View.

However WWE has presented far too many cards where the same feuds and matches that were dominating Wrestlemania 24 in Orlando, Florida. As a result fan interest in the likes of The Undertaker and Edge match had sky dived which is a shame because Undi' and Edge has proved to be bona fide superstars.

The disappointment doesn't end there as John Cena predictably defeated John 'bradshaw' Layfield in a poor opener. I presume Vince McMahon and Kevin Dunn cannot remember their Wrestlemania 21 match which was abysmal. When I heard about this match I thought about their poor feud in 2005, my fears were confirmed when I seen them lock up in this match, Cena and Layfield have no chemistry between them and this showed.

Jeff Hardy fresh coming off his 60 day suspension for violating company policy (that is taking an unidentified substance or substances) defeated Montel Vontavious Porter in a disappointing scrap. Porter needs to show some improvement if he needs to be taken seriously and I predicted last year that he would be WWE champ in 1 year, how wrong was I.

But the highlight of this PPV for this reviewer was the awesome collision between long time friends Shawn Michaels and Chris Jericho. They put on a superb match, much to the delight of the 8,000 fans in Omaha, Nebraska. I tell ya, this feud between them and Batista is the best feud in some years.

The rest of the PPV was strong as well.

Results from the show which was held in Omaha, Nebraska before a small crowd of 8,000: John Cena defeated JBL in a poor match.... John Morrison and The Miz downed CM Punk and Kane in a fine match.... Shawn Michaels downed Chris Jericho in a terrific match.... Mickie James defeated Melina and Beth Phoenix in a decent match.... The Undertaker defeated Edge via count out in a good match.... Jeff Hardy downed MVP in a lame match.... Triple H defeated Randy Orton in a very good cage match.

Overall Grade - B

Another disappointing event which somehow drew a then wrestling record of 800,000 buys and it also grossed a truck load of money.

This Wrestlemania was OK in certain parts but there was some totally baffling decisions on the show like pushing 'Road Dogg' Jesse James to Intercontinental Championship level and having Owen Hart participate in a lousy tag match which also featured Jeff Jarrett, the underused D'Lo Brown and the boring and depressing Andrew 'Test' Martin. Owen was not treated fairly in my opinion and deserved to be in a much better match. More upsetting though was this was Owen's last Wrestlemania before he tragically died.

The Hell in a Cell match between The Undertaker and Big Bossman was a colossal bore and is the worst Hell in a Cell ever. Worse even when The Undertaker won this dreadful match he tied a rope around Bossman's neck and Gangrel, Edge and Christian helped Taker to lift Bossman off the ground in other words Bossman was hanging. Oh dear deeply unpleasant in a wrestling setting.

However the card does have some good points especially the exciting Boiler Room Brawl between The Big Show and Mankind. And even though The Rock and 'Stone Cold' had a satisfactory main event Rock seemed a little nervous out there and this also featured the funny sight of Kane tombstoning Pete Rose and Butterbean knocking out Bart Gunn in a boxing match.

Results from the show which was held in Philadelphia: Hardcore Holly defeated Billy Gunn and Al Snow in a passable Hardcore match to win the Hardcore title (Gunn was super over although I couldn't understand why).... Owen Hart and Jeff Jarrett downed D'Lo Brown and Test to retain the WWF Tag Team titles in a passable match.... Butterbean beat Bart Gunn in the Brawl 4 All finals.... 'Road Dogg' Jesse James defeated Val Venis, Ken Shamrock and Goldust to retain the Intercontinental Championship (Shamrock was wasted in this match).... Kane downed Triple H via DQ in a short match.... Women's Champion, Sable downed Tori to retain the title in a lame Women's match ( The abysmal Nicole Bass came out and destroyed Tori, which enabled Sable to get the win, which left fans confused).... Mankind defeated Big Show via DQ in a good match.... Shane McMahon downed X-Pac to retain the European Championship.... 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin defeated The Rock to become the Heavyweight Champion in a satisfactory main event.

Grade - B/C

Vince McMahon knew he had to deliver at this Wrestlemania and did he ever. After watching the previous Wrestlemania (9) which is the worst one ever, I felt like we were watching something memorable and we were.

To kick things off Owen Hart and Bret Hart had a classic match but what made this doubly memorable was when Owen won the match fair and square, fans were shocked by the outcome.

It also featured a good falls count anywhere match between 'Macho Man' Randy Savage and Crush, a superb ladder match between Scott 'Razor Ramon' Hall and Shawn Michaels and a very entertaining main event between Bret 'hitman' Hart and the massive Yokozuna. When Hart defeated Yoko for the title fans POPPED big time and in a great moment wrestlers such as Razor Ramon, Lex Luger, Tatanka, Macho Man and the 123 Kid (Sean Waltman) came out to congratulate Hart for the win.

WWE presented a very unusual but fascinating storyline in this Wrestlemania. Here's the story, Hart and Luger both won the Royal Rumble the previous January when referees' Earl Hebner and the late Joey Marella couldn't decide who touched the mat first. At this stage WWF president Jack Tunney came out and announced that Hart and Luger had won the match together. This meant Luger would wrestle Yoko for the title at this Wrestlemania and have special referee the late great Curt Hennig officiate the match, the winner would be in the main event to face the champion. Fans were miffed when Hennig turned heel on Luger because he attacked Mr Fuji and Jim Cornette (for good reason I might add because they done nothing but interfere during the match). Luger and Hennig had an argument after the match. Luger was disqualified during this match and that meant Yoko would meet Hart later on in the main event.

There's some lame matches on the card though, for reasons unknown Ludvig Burga was set to meet Adam Bomb on the card but Earthquake (John Tenta) replaced Burga and completely squashed Bomb in a short match. And Alundra Blaze defeated Leilani Kai in a forgettable match.

Results from the show: Owen Hart defeated brother, Bret Hart in a thrilling contest.... 'Macho Man' Randy Savage downed Crush in a good falls count anywhere match.... Men on a Mission (Mo and Mabel) defeated The Qeubecers (Pierre and Jacques) via count out.... Yokozuna beat Lex Luger via DQ thus retaining the World Heavyweight Championship.... Bam Bam Bigelow and Luna Vachon downed Doink and Dink in a fairly entertaining comedy match.... Alundra Blaze defeated Leilani Kai in a match which fans didn't care about.... Razor Ramon beat Shawn Michaels in a classic ladder match to become the undisputed Intercontinetal Champion.... Earthquake downed Adam Bomb in a squash match.... Bret Hart pinned Yokozuna to become the Heavyweight Champion ('Rowdy' Roddy pier was the special guest referee).

Overall Grade - A-

Some say arguably the most important Wrestlemania of all time. I agree in a way partly because of The Hulk Hogan vs Andre the Giant match. WWF expertly produced this match so that as you were a fan in those days (I was 1 in 1987, so I didn't know what a television was never mind wrestling) you felt that you had to see it. However WWF falsely claimed that Hogan had never body slammed Andre and that Andre was undefeated, both claims were false. The match will go down as a classic because of Hogan and Andre's drawing power in the 1980's but the match was the pits.

The best match on the card was the classic Ricky Steamboat vs Randy Savage confrontation for the Intercontinental Championship. Fast paced, expertly timed and tonnes of near finishes and pins this is still remembered today as being one of the greatest matches ever.

However there were terrible matches on the card, for instance who in their right frame of mind would want to see Koko B Ware vs Butch Reed? and The Iron Sheik and Nicolai Volkoff vs The Killer Bees? Not this reviewer. However it also features a memorable 6 man match featuring King Kong Bundy and Hill Bily Jim and four midgets (the sight of Bundy splashing Little Beaver (RIP little fellah) at the time was considered shocking), and it also featured another memorable match this time pitting Roddy piper vs Adrian Adonis in a hair vs hair match. Sadly Adonis died in 1988 in a car accident.

This Wrestlemania also featured Alice Cooper who looked terrible and the sight of Jimmy Hart terrified of Jake 'the snake' Roberts python Damien will have you laughing out loud.

Results from the show which was held at the Pontiac Silver Dome in Detroit, Michigan before a crowd of 78,000, not 93,000 as some fans think, the WWF said this to set a brand new attendance record apparently: The Cam Am Connection (Rick Martel and Tom Zenk) downed 'Cowboy' Bob Orton and Magnificent Muraco in a good opener.... Hercules defeated Billy Jack Hayes in a terrible match.... Hilly Billy Jim, Little Beaver and The Haiti Kid beat King Kong Bundy, Lord Littlebrook and Little Tokoyo via DQ in a memorable 6 man match.... Harley Race defeated Junk Yard Dog in a colossal bore.... The Dream Team (Greg Valentine and Brutus Beefcake) defeated The Rougeou Brothers (Jaqcues and Raymond) in a good tag match.... Butch Reed defeated Koko B Ware in a an instantly forgettable collision.... Roddy Piper defeated Adrian Adonis in a hair vs hair match (Brutus Beefcake who turned face previously on the card, ran down to ringside and helped Piper cut of Adonis' hair).... The Hart Foundation (Jim 'the anvil' Neidhart and Bret 'hitman' Hart) and Danny David defeated Tito Santana and The British Bulldogs (Davey Boy Smith and The Dynamite kid) in a fine match.... Ricky Steamboat downed Randy Savage to win the Intercontinental Championship in a superb match.... The Honky Tonk Man downed Jake 'the snake' Roberts.... The Iron Sheik and Nicolai Volkoff defeated The Killer Bees (Jim Brunzell and B Brian Blair) via DQ when Jim Duggan hit Sheik with the 2 by 4.... Hulk Hogan pinned Andre the Giant to retain the Heavyweight Championship in a match which bombed, but is still remembered as a classic because of their drawing powers in the 1980's.

Many of you may not remember this but Ricky Steamboat did not have the belt for long. Here's the story, Steamboat asked for time off to be with his wife and young son after his match with Savage, the WWF complied but he had to drop the belt first. It was originally going to be Butch Reed (erm, why?) but Reed failed to show up to a house show and the decision was made to make The Honky tonk Man the champion and he shockingly defeated Steamboat for the gold. Honky still claims to be the greatest IC champ even to this day and that's not his character speaking either. If he generally believes this then perhaps he needs to continue to shake rattle and roll on the Indie Circuit where he occasional wrestles to this day.

Overall Grade - B

Another strong PPV for the WWE but what's with having two Elimination Chamber matches on the card? Talk about overkill, but these were great especially when you consider who was in the Smackdown! EC (Big Daddy V and The Great Khali). However WWE wisely booked these two to last longer than needed and a wise move it was. As soon as Khali entered he was heckled by the fans shouting a richly deserved "You can't Wrestle" chant and even though Big Daddy V looks abysmal on most occasions he didn't look that bad well disregarding the man boobs of course.

The Raw EC match was far superior to the Smackdown! EC match partly because it had 5 good workers (Jeff Hardy, HHH, Umaga, Chris Jericho and Shawn Michaels) and these can work believe me. My jaw dropped when I seen Umaga performing the double Samoan drop on Y2J and Michaels, that was awesome and even though everyone knew HHH would win, it was great seeing that he helped elevate Hardy into a main player in the match. Fans actually booed HHH and cheered Hardy.

The Smackdown! EC match was good and Batista and The Undertaker certainly work well together. MVP took a chokeslam off one of the elimination pods from The Undertaker, I'm surprised MVP agreed to do this because he's only been in the WWE for a year and a half and doesn't have that much experience well at taking big bumps anyway. Finlay proved he can still take big bumps when he allowed Taker to chokeslam him on the steel outside, that most have hurt like hell. Bearing in mind Finlay is 50 years old.

The rest of the card was average but was flawed by Ric Flair having a match against Mr Kennedy. I don't care how much Flair has done for the wrestling business, Kennedy deserved better. Flair won the with the figure four leg lock in a passable contest.

The first match on the card was CM Punk against Chavo Guerrero. This was poor and Punk doing Eddie Guerrero's 3 suplexes spot dampened the mood further, what an idiot. Guerrero won to retain his ECW title and was actually cheered by some fans. This is a shame as Guerrero and Punk are good workers but for some reason they didn't click in this match.

Results from the show: Chavo Guerrero downed CM Punk to retain the ECW title in a poor match.... Edge defeated Rey Mysterio in 5 minutes to retain the World title (Rey suffered a bicep injury about a month before the event and was unable to compete in a full match).... The Undertaker bested Finlay, Big Daddy V, The Great Khali, MVP and Batista in a very good Elimination Chamber match.... Ric Flair defeated Mr Kennedy via a figure four leg lock in a so so match.... John Cena downed Randy Orton via DQ in a passable match.... Triple H defeated Jeff Hardy, Chris Jericho, Shawn Michaels, Umaga and John 'Bradshaw' Layfield in an excellent Elimination Chamber Match to win the right to face the WWE champion at Wrestlemania (even though John Cena won the Royal Rumble to go on to face a Champion at Wrestlemania 24) Overall Grade - B-

An excellent PPV.

I feel confident when I say this but I'm sure 80% of fans knew that Triple H would defeat Randy Orton in the main event. JBL on the other hand is not championship material and John Cena doesn't need another title reign just yet as he's currently filming another movie which requires him to be in New Orleans for most of the time. I just hope HHH drops the title when the time comes and doesn't bore fans stupid like he did in mediocre feuds with Kevin Nash, Scott Steiner and Bill Goldberg in 2003. This reviewer would like to see a feud between Triple H and CM Punk in the near future.

The Undertaker vs Edge match was again a top match and they didn't disappoint the crowd, however this Vicky Guerrero is really doing my F'N head in with her "You are not the champion crap", I just wish Taker would give her the Tombstone on the steel steps and do us all a favour. Hey you might criticise me for being too harsh there but she does my head in. I know Eddie Guerrero left her and the kids in financial peril and she needs the money but I'm sure WWE can just give her a pension based on what Eddie earned throughout his career..... oops I forgot "pension" and "benefits" are a dirty word in WWE and to show how cruel this company is they still don't pay for wrestler's hotel and car rental expenses.

Getting back to Backlash, no I haven't forgotten about it, Mick Foley joined Michael Cole on the broadcasting booth, but Foley is a better replacement than Jonathon Coachman, perhaps the second worst commentator in the WWE only behind Mike Adamle of course.

Results from the show: Matt Hardy downed MVP to win the US title in a very good match.... Kane defeated Chavo Guerrero to retain the ECW title.... Big Show downed The Great Khali.... Shawn Michaels downed Batista in a strong bout (I forgot about Batista's lame match with Umaga at WM 24 when I seen this match).... Layla El, Victoria, Beth Pheonix, Melina, Jillian Hall and Natalya Neidhart defeated Mickie James, Cherry, Maria, Michelle McCool, Kelly Kelly and Ashley in a fair match.... The Undertaker defeated Edge to retain the World title in a grand match.... Triple H defeated Randy Orton (champion) JBL and John Cena in an excellent match to regain the WWE title.

Overall Grade - A

WWE pulled out all the stops, to make this Wrestlemania memorable and they certainly did that in more ways then 1, some of which where beyond the company's control. For instance as viewers may have been aware after The Undertaker vs Edge match as Taker was celebrating his win, the fireworks shot into the crowd and injured about 40 people.

The Batista vs Umaga match was disappointing, and as Big Dave had a match with The Undertaker last year and in my opinion his match last year was the best match of 2007, it reminded me that Batista can have a dire match with even the best of workers, in this case Umaga. Listen when Umaga makes his way down the ramp for his match, William Regal announces him as "You - Manga", no surprise there.

By putting the Edge vs Undertaker match on last WWE did the right business decision, because if WWE had put HHH vs Randy Orton vs John Cena match on last I would be suffering from HHH overkill.

As usual the Money in the Bank Ladder Match was very good but was let down by a couple of botched moves, The Big Show vs Floyd Mayweather match was very good and exceeded my expectations, however this writer is baffled on why the WWE would pay Mayweather $2 million for one worked match, when Edge, The Undertaker, Randy Orton and John Cena wouldn't even earn that in 1 year, disregarding royalty bonuses of course.

Results from the show before a crowd of 70,000 in Orlando, Florida at the Citrus Bowl are as follows: JBL downed Finlay in a decent Belfast Brawl.... CM Punk beat John Morrison, Montel Vontavious Porter, Chris Jericho, Carlito, Shelton Benjamin and Mr Kennedy in a thrilling Money in the Bank Ladder Match.... Floyd 'Money' Mayweather defeated The Big Show in a good no DQ brawl.... Shawn Michaels pinned Ric Flair in an emotional career ending match.... Kane downed Chavo Guerrero to win the ECW title in about 10 seconds.... Randy Orton downed Triple H and John Cena to retain the WWE title in a good match.... Beth Pheonix and Melina downed Ashley and Maria (the lights failed in this match, but not that anyone was complaining and afterwards Snoop Dogg close lined Santino Marella and then gave Maria a giant snog, lucky him).... Batista defeated Umaga in a mediocre match.... The Undertaker beat Edge to win the World Heavyweight Championship in a superb worthy main event.

Awesome, just awesome.

This film had superb acting, superb, interesting characters and above all had some of the best action sequences in any Bond movie.

Goldfinger bought us the most memorable characters in any Bond movie with Pussy Galore, Odd Job, Goldfinger himself and Jill and Tilly Masterson just to name a few. When Bond discovers Jill Masterson covered in gold paint this ranks as one of the best and most shocking parts in a movie of all time.

The scene in where Bond is sent to Goldfinger's ranch is supposedly in Kentucky, USA but in reality this was shot at Pinewood Studio's in London, in fact the only actor to travel to the United States was Cec Linder who played Felix Leither and I must add was played exceptionally well by Linder but unfortunately fans of the film don't appear to remember him enough than say David Hedison who played the Leither character in Live and Let Die and Licence to Kill.

This Bond film did not mention the organization known as SPECTRE which gave us Ernest Stavro Blofeld, Donald Grant and Dr No just to name a few. Perhaps producers decided audiences at the time were tiring of introducing SPECTRE in every Bond film, but what makes up in this film was Auric Goldfinger played magnificently by Gert Frobe. However his voice was dubbed for the film because Frobe could not speak a word of English.

Harold Sakata who played Odd Job was excellent in the role and Sakata was a professional wrestler and went under the name of Tosh Togo.

One of the best Bond film EVER made.

Grade - A**

Fine film but with lousy acting.

NSNA had a credible storyline and some good screen footage of all the exotic locations but in this writers opinion the actors from Max Von Sydow and Alec McGowan spoil it with their p-ss poor acting.

Truth be told I thought some actors like Sean Connery and the late Pat Roach did a good job in the film and Roach did look like an intimidating Bond baddie. But what this writer can't understand to this day is that they decided to use Rowan Atkinson as an MI6 agent!!! Atkinson's character is so dumb that he actually shouts "Mr Bond!" at the top of his voice whilst Bond is undercover. I think the producers were drunk when they picked Atkinson for this film.

Klaus Maria Brandauer who played Largo was OK in the film but lacked the toughness to play a member of SPECTRE, granted Largo in the film is a charming, silent killer but he can't be taken too seriously.

Max Von Sydow who played Blofeld on the other hand looked awful and in previous films Blofeld who was played by Anthony Dawson (From Russia With Love and Thunderball) Donald Pleseance (You Only Live Twice) and Charles Gray (Diamonds are Forever) were all intimidating and they rarely had people around them but this Blofeld in this film had loads of guests around him and was smiling and looked like he was enjoying life too much (in previous films like Thunderball the actor who played Blofeld did so in such a superb way that Dawson did scare the audience at the time with his deep voice (ok so it was dubbed but you get the point) and viewers never seen his face) Kim Bassinger who played Domino was a perfect choice for the film and this is one of the actors who the production crew got it right with.

One scene I enjoyed was when Bond came out of the airport and Felix Leiter who was played exceptionally well by BernieCasey threw an apple at Bond at he caught it at the last minute. One scene that always baffles me is when Bond is tied up and Largo as silly as he his even tells Bond where the atomic bomb is! Bond asks him where it is and Largo replies "Right under the president's feet in Washington D.C". I know Bond was tied up but still surely that's top secret?! In the famous word of Homer Simpson, DOH! Watch the film for the storyline but ignore the lame acting from some of the actors.

A truly awesome film boosting some quality characters and some damn right awesome fighting parts. However my only complaint about this was when they showed the bath room scene where Tony Montana's brother was brutally murdered by a chain saw, this was revolting and this did not have to appear in the film because of it's extreme brutality, but they included it anyway, Christ knows what the producers thought when they included this scene.

Al Pacino was superb in the role and a nice touch about the film was when the writers and producers included actual footage of when former Cuban leader Fidel Castro booted out some of his countrymen and they were forced to go to Miami, Florida. It boosted a superb motion picture as well and a positively awesome scene were the Cuban refugees where playing basketball in the camp. The riots which they filmed looked damn right real, top marks go to the extra's involved for filming that and making it look real as possible.

This writer remembers watching a documentary on BBC3 about drugs in Miami in the 1980's which the late, soap legend Mike Reid who played Frank Butcher in the BBC soap Eastenders talked about the documentary, and a person interviewed mentioned Scarface and his words were 'The banks didn't care about money laundering, you may remember a scene in Scarface where he (Tony Montana) walked into a bank in Miami with his laundered money and the bank didn't say a word.' This writer also has the game Scarface for the Playsation 2 and this boosts a very complex storyline as well.

The film boosts some outstanding sun sets in Miami as well as some good dialog between characters for example you may recall a scene where Montana visit's his younger sister and mother and gives them a thousand dollars only for his mother to tell him to stick it. This part was well written.

Scarface truly ranks as one of the greatest films ever made along with the Sawshank Redeption and Dirty Dancing.

Overall Grade - A**

Great American Bash was similar to Vengeance, in other words some matches were good and others were damn right bad.

The Hardyz were super over in their matches with MVP and Umaga respectively and their matches were good, but both Hardyz lost which was disappointing. The Singapore Cain on a pole match was crap, as much as I like Sandman, Carlito deserved better, and the Cain didn't not come into play once. The triple threat match between Batista, Kane and Khali was bad, worse than that Khali used Kane's finisher which I thought was odd and when Kane and Batista choke slammed Khali on the announcers desk, it looked pathetic. The bull rope match between Randy Orton and Dusty Rhodes was rubbish, Rhodes looked 2 decades older than he actually is and the finish (Orton hit Rhodes with the Cow Bell, was an insult to the ticket buying fans). The Cruiserweight match which featured 5 performers was a joke, at the end Hornswoggle pinned Jamie Noble to become the Cruiserweight champion. Yes! Hornswoggle who didn't even participate in the match, was selected by WWE to become the next champion! The PPV had it's bright points though. The John Cena vs Bobby Lashley match was very good which was surprising, MVP and the Matt Hardy match was decent and the Jeff Hardy and Umaga match was very good.

Results from the show: MVP downed Matt Hardy in a decent effort to retain the US title. Carlito beat the Sandman in a p*ss poor Singapore Cain on a pole match. Candice Michelle beat Melina in a passable match to retain the Women's title. Hornswoggle won the Cruiserweight Championship in a pathetic match. Umaga downed Jeff Hardy in a good match. John Morrison downed CM Punk to retain the ECW championship in a decent match. Randy Orton defeated Dusty Rhodes in a crap bull rope match. The Great Khali defeated Batista and Kane to retain the World title (Khali held the belt upside down during his entrance, what a buffoon!). John Cena downed Bobby Lashley in an exciting match to retain the WWE Championship.

Overall Grade - B/C

Another lame offering, NYR has been shoddy in 2005, 2006 and yes 2007. With the exception of one match (DX vs Randy Orton and Edge) the fans didn't care about matches like Kenny vs Ric Flair or the Tag Team Turmoil match.

The DX vs Rated RKO match should have been the main event in my opinion not the John Cena vs Umaga match. Granted The Cena vs Umaga match was OK but could have been booked better.

Results from the show: Jeff Hardy beat Johnny Nitro in a good steel cage match. Kenny pinned Ric Flair via a roll up in a lame match with a terrible finish. Cryme Tyme won the tag team turmoil match which also included The Highlanders, Super Crazy and Jim Duggan, Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin and Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch, fans popped for Chad's pinfall most probably they were relived this epic bore had ended not because it was a great match. Mickie James pinned Victoria in a decent match. Rated RKO and DX went to a non finish in a superb match when Triple H's leg gave way on him. Chris Masters pinned Carlito in a useless match. John Cena beat Umaga in a so so match to retain the title.

Overall Grade - B/C

Backlash was a superb B level PPV, featuring 3 good under card matches, an exciting last man standing match and a superb fatal four way main event, this has to be the greatest Backlash PPV ever.

Results from the show: The Hardy Boyz defeated Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch to retain the WWE Tag Team Championships in an enjoyable match. Melina pinned Mickie James in a well received women's match to retain the Women's Championship. Chris Benoit defeated MVP in a choice match to keep the US title. Vince McMahon, Shane McMahon and Umaga downed Bobby Lashley in a silly handicap match, as a result Vince won the ECW World title. Batista and The Undertaker went to a double count out in an exciting last man standing match. John Cena defeated Randy Orton, Edge and Shawn Michaels in a superb main event when he pinned 'The Legend Killer.

The only disappointment on the card was McMahon's silly win over Lashley, Vince has now devalued 2 Championships. Even David Arquette didn't do that.

Overall Grade - A

Held 2 weeks before the disappointing PPV Judgment Day, One Night Stand consisted of some of the same matches that were on Judgment Day. WWE tried to hide this by booking all of the matches under extreme rules.

Overall a good show, but note that I have put WWE One Night Stand as opposed to ECW One Night Stand.

Rob Van Dam defeated Randy Orton in a very good stretcher match, after which 'The Legend Killer' destroyed Van Dam. CM Punk, Tommy Dreamer and The Sandman defeated Marcus Cor Von, Matt Striker and Elijah Burke in a fair tables match. The Hardy Boyz downed Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas in a risky and exciting ladder match. Mark Henry downed Kane in a mediocre lumberjack match. Edge defeated Batista in a very good steel cage match. Bobby Lashley defeated Vince McMahon to regain the ECW title in a good street fight. Candice defeated Melina in a pudding match (no one cared). John Cena defeated The Great Khali in an exciting falls count anywhere match.

Overall Grade - B-

Sunday Night Heat is a very strange programme to write about partly because in 1998 and 1999 it was watchable and it included the likes of The Rock, Mankind, Kane, Stone Cold Steve Austin and others on it. Fast forward to 2007 and the same old boring wrestlers appear on it and throw in a couple of jobbers as well, the likes of Val Venis, Eugene and The Highlanders appear on it every flippin Sunday (yawn).

I remember watching Heat in 2000 and 2001 when it appeared on Channel 4 and it was way much better than it is now even though all you got was mostly Perry Saturn on it against Funaki in nearly every main event, but it was exciting to see who would appear on it.

The matches that I thought were good and the wrestlers that I was shocked to see on it included:

Kane vs Road Dogg Jesse James - 2000. Triple H vs Perry Saturn - 2000 The Undertaker and Kane vs Kaientai - 2001 Kurt Angle vs Essa Rios - 2000 The Undertaker vs Christian - 2001 Kane vs Christian - 2002 Triple H vs Hardcore Holly - 2000 Rob Van Dam vs Christian - 2002.

Heat is just simply not the same anymore!

Disappointing, that's the thought that comes into my head when I think about Judgment Day.

Did anybody need to see (again) Ric Flair vs Carlito? The match was lame and all Flair did was chops, and he won! A waste of Carlito, he should have been in there with someone who is athletic like Kenny, but not Flair. The US title match in which MVP defeated Chris Benoit in 2 straight falls, was slow, granted these two have had great matches at Wreslemania 23 and Backlash, but I thought the whole idea of 2 out of 3 falls matches was to have the 2 wrestlers to have 1 fall a piece so the last fall becomes the most interesting, the crowd was dead for this match. The Bobby Lashley vs The McMahon's and Umaga match was too short and when McMahon declared that Lashley needed to pin him the for the ECW title, I was miffed and so were the fans.

The CM Punk and Elijah Burke match for me just didn't cut the mustard. Granted these two have talent, but the match seemed slow at times, and Batista in his match got booed whilst some of the fans cheered Edge! A complete shambles! The only match I enjoyed was The Hardy Boyz vs Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch. It was very good and even though Murdoch appears to have lost weight, he still looks about 50. Murdoch and Cade are the 3rd best tag team in WWE behind the Hardyz and Paul London and Brian Kendrick.

Results from the show: Ric Flair defeated Carlito via figure four leg lock in a lame match. Bobby Lashley defeated The McMahon's and Umaga when he pinned Shane in a passable match. CM Punk downed Elijah Burke in a disappointing match. MVP downed Chris Benoit in two straight falls to win the US title. The Hardyz defeated Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch in the best match of the night. Randy Orton defeated Shawn Michaels via stoppage. Edge beat Batista with a cheap roll up in a passable match. John Cena defeated the Great Khali in a average match via the STFU.

Grade - C/D

The Royal Rumble this year was way better than last years, but the first half which included the ECW and World Heavyweight Championship matches were passable but the second half which included the WWE Championship match and the Royal Rumble match itself were superb.

This event was held in San Antonio Texas, and was seen by approx 15,000 people in the arena.

The Hardyz defeated MNM in a good match.

Bobby Lashley downed Test by count out in a pointless bore.

Batista downed Mr Kennedy to retain the World Championship in a so so match.

John Cena beat Umaga in a last man standing match. This match was superbly written and this was one of Cena's better efforts.

The Undertaker won the greatest Royal Rumble match ever by last eliminating Shawn Michaels. The last 7 minute exchanges between the two were fantastic.

Main highlights included Kane choke slamming Sabu through a table and the Sandman's entrance (it looked superb when it showed you a shot of him coming through the crowd) Grade - A
