Standout Cast in a great British Drama
21 July 2022
Really enjoyed this show, there were some really good unexpected scenes that grabbed my attention. Just as I thought things were going in 1 direction it lurched into an altogether different way, which I enjoyed

The cast is literally like a Who's who of some of the best talent this country has, but I have to say Adeel Akhtar for me was the stand out performer. His acting is incredible, showing such depth and a variety of emotions. From one minute having you laughing at him, to the next feeling so sorry for him.

If you haven't seen it yet watch it, you won't be disappointed.

Thankfully it appears that a 2nd series has been commissioned, so will look forward to that. Be curious if they will build on the same theme here based on the dark history of the miners strike or go in a totally different direction.

More miss than hit

Warning: Spoilers
Promised a little, but failed to deliver after 1st episode. Too ridiculous to make me want to watch the rest.

My main gripe is that Gabe is recognised on a phone call by a girl he knew about 20 years ago when they were kids.

Don't know about you but pretty sure I would not recognise an adult by their voice when I only spoke to them as a 12 year old.

Totally stupid to think that's believable.
