Ridiculous and gay and pretty awesome

If you want to watch yet another procedural about lawyers that's realistic or even researched in any way this is not the show for you. However if you want an over the top, melodramatic, sexy, unpredictable show that'll keep you guessing and laughing and freaking out with every cliffhanger, then watch this.

Viola Davis is amazing (unsurprisingly) and Analise is one of the most interesting main characters on TV right now.

This show had one of the best pilots I've seen in a while and the season 2 premiere was one of the best episodes of television I've seen all year (and I watch A LOT of TV).

In summary, How To Get Away With Murder is kinda dumb, kinda funny, really engaging and enthralling and constantly surprising.

It's exactly what you expect it to be

If you think you'll like this movie, you probably will. If you think you'll hate it, you probably will.

It's a predictable biopic of NWA, produced by the surviving members. It's fun even if it's basically just a series of events that have little to do with each other.

All the actors not only look similar to who they play, but also put in pretty great performances. The soundtrack is great (obviously). The last 10 minutes feel like it's from an entirely different movie though.

Overall I enjoyed it, I probably would've enjoyed it more if I hadn't seen as many similar music biopics.

Really funny for a long time

Warning: Spoilers
This movie is significantly better than most romantic comedies.

Amy Schumer and Bill Hader are funny and have pretty good chemistry. The supporting cast is fantastic with a stand out performance from John Cena of all people (I'm not even kidding he practically steals the movie).

The parts that are good are so good that I still gave it the benefit of the doubt for the last 20 minutes or so when it dove off a cliff. It goes for sentiment in the third act and doesn't recover comedically. The ending is fairly cliché and abrupt.

This movie is still worth seeing though.

Really, really, really good

Just watch this movie. Stop looking through these reviews right now and just watch it.

I personally thought it was very good, certainly one of the best horror movies of the last few years. If you watch it and love it, great. Even if you watch it and hate it, at least you saw a horror movie that was somewhat different from every dumb predictable studio crapfest.

I loved Essie Davis (her performance in this was probably the main reason she was cast in Game of Thrones) and surprisingly I thought the child actor did a great job. It's well directed and written. There isn't much else to say really. Just go watch it. And pay for it if you can, this movie deserves it.
