The Dead Don't Die (2019)
I'm dead inside
The actors in this movie seem like maybe they were forced to act at gunpoint. I'm not even sure why Tom Waits was in this movie, all he did was look like the cowardly lion from the wizard of OZ. Did anyone even get paid to make this movie?
I feel like every actor who started in this movie took a Crying Game shower.. and cried... What a endless piece of trash you posed to be a good film. An Andy Warhol wanna be trickster director put good people in a film that ultimately made me feel dead inside for watching it. I kept waiting for something interesting to happen.. 30min... 1hr ... And it's like.. I guess I just have to watch the rest of the 40mins to see if there is even any kind of redeeming qualities... So I repeat myself ... I am wholeheartedly dead inside this movie made 15million. Worst movie I have ever seen in my entire life.
In Time (2011)
Just-in Time..
It's always the movies that I never see previews for that end up being the great movie I was looking for to watch!
Justin Timberlake never ceases to amaze me with his humor and acting! He is a one man wonder!
This was a very action packed movie! Alex Pettyfer makes a really good bad guy.. and Cillian Murphy is an ultimately determined character who will stop at nothing to find Justin Timberlake in a pursuit of wrongful accusations!
Sometimes you can be in the right place and the wrong time and wrong place right time..
Supernatural (2005)
Naturally Super!!
Not only have I watched all six seasons and caught myself up because I remember watching the first episode when the show premiered.... thinking back.... why did I never get into that show? The very first episode stuck with me long enough for me to get myself enthralled with Supernatural!
Don't be fooled by the CWTV title... this show has promised action, drama and comedy from the very beginning!
Of course, the choice of Jensen and Jared to look at every week was a keen choice of cast! Every show has something new, and when it's not the first supernatural entity is creepier than the last!
Sam and Dean are awesome... keep the episode coming Bobby Singer and Sera Gamble!!
Contagion (2011)
A whole lot of nothing.
I had not heard about this movie until we got to the theater. After spending about $30 at the movies, I was expecting to be entertained.
The actors in this movie are phenomenal. With a cast like Gwyneth Paltrow, Lawrence Fishburne, Mark Wahlberg, Matt Damon, and Jude Law; how could you not expect a truly good movie? Unfortunately, if this movie were on TiVo I would have skipped ahead to the end.
The beginning was intriguing, the majority of the movie lacked definition of drama, but included many scientific definitions for why vaccines are important. This movie seemed more a warning to the multiple families who have stopped taking vaccines because some believe children are forming autism from said vaccines.
Without Mark Wahlberg making yet another wonderful performance, this movie would have been lost. And, I'm sorry where was Matt Damon in this movie? I saw him for about 10 minutes in the entire movie - as the most minor role I have ever seen him in -- in any movie.
I was not impressed. The ending was alright, but this movie had way more room for potential. It reminds me of all the M. Night Shyamalan movies that I've wasted my time on in the past. If you like his movies, you might like this one.. but action was nowhere in this movie. The best part about the movie was the buttery popcorn.
Get Him to the Greek (2010)
t's an acquired humor that I will never find funny._spoiler_
After watching this movie, I am pretty sure I will never watch anything by this director or anything starring Russell Brand or Jonah Hill. The movie was quite distasteful with the idea that you should help your friends by doing anything you can even if it includes: over abuse of drugs, dropping off the wounded in front of a hospital, sticking drugs in your rectum in an airport, and ridiculous kinds of unnecessary sex (some in bathrooms - gross, suggested and almost forced threesomes, cheating). So your health means nothing as long as your friends or your work are satisfied with your loyalty? I should mention there was a quasi-rape scene that was absolutely unnecessary. Not a woman being raped, but Jonah Hill with a dildo. Wow, not something I'd ever like to see or think about. By the way, if you were "jones-ing" to see Jonah Hill's overweight bare naked bottom, then this is the movie for you! No thank you. Not only was the movie semi-musical, but the songs were treacherous and completely stupid in context.
I have seen other things with Russell Brand and Jonah Hill, two comedic actors. Two actors that I have not found the least bit funny among actors such as, Jason Segel and Seth Rogan. I always thought this was due to their roles being minor in certain movies. Instead, I was right with my own judgment that I should have not seen this movie - even though I saw it.... This movie was not worth watching, making, or filming. It's an acquired humor that I will never find funny.
Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain (2001)
Most charming movie ever!
Thank you Jean-Pierre Jeunet for your masterpiece and my favorite movie... Aubrey Tautou is incredible! The cast compliment each other in witty, comedic scenes along beautiful scenery in Paris, France.
At times people prefer not to watch foreign films because of subtitles. Watching this movie was amazing and subtitles were no bother. Amélie is an adult comedy, probably not a movie to watch with the children.
Not only did this film surprise me upon first viewing, but Amélie has officially become my favorite movie of all time. I cannot get enough of this charming, extraordinary film. Even after watching this film again for the first time in years, I'd watch it again and again. If you want a feel- good movie, watch this movie - I just know you'll love it. Brilliant movie, brilliant!
