La nuit a dévoré le monde (2018)
Wow! This was excellent!
In a sea of "me too" zombie movies, it was really nice to watch one that actually FELT like a survival movie. This movie also is wasn't afraid to pull any punches either. Lots of things don't work out for the protagonist, but it only helps to build his character more. If you're looking for a solid zombie apocalypse movie, you've just found a really good one.

Best Zombie Film EVER...Period
Train to Busan Review
This was THE BEST zombie flick I've ever seen (and I've seen a lot). It's hyper intense, emotional and heartbreaking all at the same time. I've never seen anything quite like it.
I absolutely LOVE how it shows the rapid decline of civilization. One minute people are just normal people. The next minute those same people are leaving children and the elderly for dead just to save their own skin. It's visceral, disturbing and ABSOLUTELY realistic (which is something zombie movies rarely are).
The movie is extremely fast paced and rarely takes its foot off of the accelerator. This keeps you on the edge of your seat, and always wondering what's going to happen next.
The director did an excellent job at painting a scenario where no one was safe. You feel the same way about the characters too. You really don't have any clue who's going to die next, and that's SO refreshing to me.
If you're like me and love all things zombie related then you HAVE to watch this film!
As Above, So Below (2014)
Why can't I be scared anymore?
I grew up on horror movies, so I'm very jaded. Nothing ever scares me anymore, and I hate it. I guess it's like when a drug user gets used to their dose and has to keep doing a larger one. I'm that way with horror movies.
That being said, this was decent, but not at ALL scary.
If you want to actually watch a tense movie I highly recommend Grave Encounters. That one ACTUALLY freaked me out, so that should say something.
