Mine was love at first sight...
28 January 2021
Wow, I don't know if I can express my feelings for this masterpiece with words but I'll give it a try.

Heaven Official's Blessing, a.k.a Tian Guan Ci Fu, a.k.a. TGCF is my first "donghua" ever. I haven't heard of it before, hence I realised it was very reasonable I haven't heard it before cause appearently it's considerably something new.

I have a strange story about discovering it though. I had seen some pictures, fan arts on the internet of it and they were really great - so great that almost enchanted me. Then I kept seeing other arts too and I was really curious about what they were all about. Hands tight up in a red thread, floating lanterns everywhere, flying silver butterflies all around, a couple seem to be - very committed... I almost felt a strange connection to it, I was kinda hooked even before I saw it - just because of the arts. The power of art is such a strange thing, really...

Then I realised a couple of them were actual - official arts, concept arts for the donghua or from manhua. Then I decided to watch it and I knew I was gonna like it before I even started it.

I didn't just like but loved it. So yes, it was indeed love at first sight. The more I watch, the more I love it. I have never seen something this elegant before. The way of telling a story is also as much as important the plot itself. This show proves that again. Even after the first episode, I realised it had such a great story behind it. A story full of history of more than 800 years...

Luckily, I found it just right after the first season was finished. So I didn't had to wait for a new episode - not for a while at least. After seeing the whole show for three times, now I can say that this show can be a true masterpiece. The story is so deep that it is full of every emotion a person could have, even so much that it made me laugh and cry at the same time. The whole story of Xie Lian, the Crown Prince can be considered tragicomic. His past is like such a sad song, so captivative that you can't just stop to listen, but also admire its beauty. Then there is Hua Cheng, another sad story. And when you combine them, a more beautiful story takes the place...

I captivated by the story so much that I started to read the novel and I can say I haven't read a story that catches my heart this deeply for a long time. The characters are very detailed, one can understand the dreams, the happiness, the grief of every one of them. I can't help but relate with Xie Lian or Hua Cheng. I'm literally feeling like living in the story which is a great deal because I always had this saying: If I can feel like living in the story, if I can imagine the characters are living and enjoying their own universe, if I can think of them exist in somewhere out there... then it means it's a good story.

And this is one of the best stories I've ever seen.

The story is already good, the soundtracks are good, the art is good... I have such high hopes for this show.

About my 9 stars, I wanted to give it a 10, I even would like to give it 11 because that's how it made me feel. But the only trouble is about the animation. When I saw the opening, I thought I have never seen such a beautiful opening before, but after I saw some battle scenes... Well, they need to work on that part. But if the upcoming seasons will have a better animation, then I guess this show would be one of the best animations ever.

I only have one warning for those who are interested in watching it - this show is a BL so if you don't like that sort of thing, then consider your decision again. But if you are into BL stories, then don't wait, just jump in...

Make you feel weird yet hooked.
27 September 2020
I can honestly say that I can't count as watched the movie cause I practically stared at River. It was a 8/10 movie but 10/10 acting. I don't know how I missed this movie until now but everything has it's own time. Actually I came to this movie after I finished "Banana Fish". Because I knew Ash Lynx was inspired by River Phoenix and even I knew him I couldn't remember him as an actor, as a trademark role. So I started to search and "My Own Private Idaho" was what I came up with. Now I can clearly see how Ash and Eiji (from Banana Fish) was imagined... On the other hand the movie was perfect if you are in that kind of a mood, when you are ready to watch something odd but amazing. The story could be a little more amusing or happier, but I guess it wouldn't be that awesome if it wasn't this sad...

Bad. Just plain bad.
3 August 2020
It doesn't even worth the time to write this review but I'm doing it anyway. I'm a huge fan of the anime and the manga series but this movie has nothing to do with the actual series. I mean yes the same characters but they are not exactly the same characters, they just took the same names and that's all. I mean Eren not having any purposes? Really? It's the only thing Eren does actually, he is the furthest thing from being an aimless teenager. I pity the money, the time and the effort to make this movie but can't cry over spilled milk... At least you can save your time without watching it.

Haikyu!! (2014–2020)

I'm crying of joy.
13 July 2020
First of all, the trailers are irrelevant with the show. Second of all... This is literally one of the BEST shows I have ever seen. Haikyuu is a must-watch anime. The story may seem plain and people tend to think like "It's just a sports anime about high school boys playing volleyball" but they couldn't have been more wrong. The story, the music, the atmosphere, the character development and the characters themselves... I've never seen a work like this evolved around so many characters. Characters that are so different and so detailed not just in art style and physical but in personality too... I love how they are individualised like a real person, I love how they become a part of you like a family, I love how there are no "enemy" characters or schools so you just start to like all of them in your own way. I love how all the characters grow up and develop in their own ways. There was a moment that I cried just because when I witnessed and realised how far they have come. I wasn't a volleyball fan at the beginning, I was reluctant to watch the show but my friend forced me to and now I'm grateful for that. After 2 episodes it gets really catchy and you can't just stop watching. I was chary about sports animes but now I can say if a show is good, you just love it no matter what. I also started to like volleyball without even noticing and that's a big change... I've never seen something this funny and action. I just finished the first 4 seasons and already feel the gap of the show. I just need more Haikyuu, I wish we could have 1000 episodes of this. It brings joy, happiness, life to the audience. Haikyuu was one of the biggest things that made my 2020 tolerable, that's how good it is.

Castlevania (2017–2021)
6/10
I had high hopes until season 3.
6 July 2020
Castlevania was something that I was looking forward to watch. Cause let's admit it, a good story with Dracula in it couldn't be bad. I was so excited before I even started because Richard Armitage is narrating the main character and God, I love the man's voice. Then I met Alucard and I fell in love with his voice too. Their first scene... It was awesome. Everything is good until now. My first note was 8/10 after the first season. Then season 2 happened and everything was still good. But then, season 3 happened. The story was tolerable (not good but tolerable) until the last episode but the last episode... When I finished the season I was just like "What did I just watch?" I'm not sure about continue to watch the new seasons but I'm done with this show for a good long time.

Best. Anime. Ever.
22 March 2020
This was my first anime I've ever watched. I'm still mad at that friend who recommended this to me. As you can guess, there are some issues about starting to animes with the one that is known as the best anime ever. I watched and hated many after I've seen FMA, I even watched the first FMA and still hated it. Now I'm thankful for this to be my first, cause now I know what quality is. If I can like an anime even after seeing FMA, I know that show must be amazing. I just finished the whole series for the third time and still feel the same way that I felt on the first time. It's a classic that I wanna rewatch over the years...

The last scene...
14 January 2020
Oh the last scene... Every single time... Sometimes when I'm in a bad mood, and wanna cry and relax, I just watch this episode. And yes, I cry at the end everytime. The music, the words... It's a 10 just because of the scene.

It was so beautiful but didn't get the goosebumps
12 July 2019
The movie was elegantly beautiful... I had great expectations for the movie, unfortunately couldn't get what I wanted entirely. But it was still so nice and touching. I had tears for the last 15 mins or more. I just wished there were more parts of his stories. Like names or visions... I'd like to see the real silhouette of Sauron or Nazgul or the Red Eye or the Shire... Above that it's a must-seen movie for my opinion and I'm gonna watch it again as soon as possible.

What's wrong with the metascore...
12 November 2018
First of all it's perfect but 9, cause there was no Bowie. I desperately expected to see Bowie too. Other than that, I can't find the right words to describe it. Again, I chose to trust the user's rating cause we all know metascore mislead us most of the time. But seriously, I don't get what's wrong about those people. The movie was great. It's so huge, I don't know how can I put it into words, you need to see the movie to understand what I'm talking about. It was full of energy, full of life, full of emotions and through the whole movie I felt that damned rhythm in my veins. Sometimes when I watch a movie, I feel like that I'm a part of it, like I live in there too, I felt the same when I watch Bohemian Rhapsody. Not many movies had given me that feeling, but if you ever felt it you should have known what it makes you feel like. So yes the movie was perfect, go watch it. I'm still in my 20s so it took me years to discover Queen, I wish I could start to listen to them earlier but I'm still happy that I discovered them before this movie. Even if you don't listen to them, go watch it, you will end up as a Queen fan. I left the cinema with a throbbing heart and tears, but I'm a soppy girl after all...
