Not subtle, not complex, not well written, not new.

The relationship between the main character and her grandma evolves in a way that doesn't feel very natural (thing just happen and you have to accept it). Everything else is just one-layered.

There is nothing original about this movie... same old story that has been told millions of times (at least they are competent in many formal aspects in this one, what they lack is creativity).

The movie is slow, partially because it needs to be, partially because does not have much to say.

The viewer after 100 minutes watching it has absolutely nothing to reflect on - it feels that you are being informed about a reaaly boring individual story of suffering.

It looks like an advertisement for tourism in Honduras that lasts for two hours or so. The script is so cliché. It is not original, not deep, not funny. Watch the trailer and see how beautiful the place is - that should be enough!

TERRIBLE!

I watched it in the WE ARE ONE Festival (YouTube), because it seemed to be a good movie, in spite of the terrible socre here on IMDB (it was 3.7).

I am very happy I was not fooled by the score, because it is a good movie. The script is subtle and quite unpredictable (in a good way) and the characters are complex - so are the inter-relations between them.

It is always good to watch a movie that depicts the African everyday life of middle and lower classes as well as the elite (the 1%). American and European movies are usually about the poorest of Africa (or African immigrants in developped nations), which are really important issues as well, however let us not forget that Africa is a plural continent - ethnically, religously, culturally and socially.

Do no be fooled about the low score, it is a good movie. Enjoy!

Visually stunning. Every image on the screen can be printed out and framed for it is going to be a beautiful picture.

Apart from the best cinematography ever, good acting and the script is OK. A bit slow, though.
