Leave the World Behind (2023)
Don't waste your time
I'll get straight to the point, the ending is rubbish. Actually there is no ending, it just ends on a stupid part where it makes no sense and you never actually find out what happens to the family. I feel like I wasted 2 hours of my life. The most annoying part is it had so much promise! It could have been excellent. I just wish I had read a review that told me after 2 hours it just ends with no explanation. Don't read on if you don't want spoilers, but it ends when the girl finds a bunker and sits down to watch the final series of friends. No idea if the family find the bunker, if they spend their last moments getting radiation poisoning because they too busy looking for the idiot girl. Nothing, just ends....don't waste your time . So sad because I was actually enjoying it, now I hate it.
French Exit (2020)
Absolutely horrible movie
I don't know how people rated this movie great. I didn't find any part of it to have dark humour either. It was slow paced, boring and depressing. The only credit I'll give it is that it was well acted. Just not sure who wants to waste over an hour of their life watching a self centred, horrible womens day to day struggle of having to live without millions and dragging her poor son down with her. Horrible depressing movie with zero entertainment value as far as Im concerned.
Fate: The Winx Saga (2021)
Not for an under 18 audience at all!
Why make a tv series based off a kids favourite cartoon show and then have the 16 year olds smoke, vape, smoke weed, do drugs, have sex and drinking underage??? Argh, horrible trashy show that I was very glad I was watching with my kids so I could stop them watching it. This is horribly wrong as what adult would want to watch this teenager rubbish and what parent wants to let their kids watch this sort of behaviour wrapped up in a 'this is how cool kids behave' sort of nonsense. Get your audience right!
Busanhaeng 2: Bando (2020)
Don't listen to the poor reviews
I gave this an 8 just because I honestly didn't think it deserved all the poor reviews. So it's unrealistic. What zombie movie isn't? I watch a lot of zombie movies and this is definitely no where near as bad as most of them. It's got a lot of special effects, it's got a lot of 'Tokyo drift' style action in it, but it was a great entertaining movie. Maybe not in my top 10 zombie movies, but I certainly didn't feel it was a waste of my time.
Zomboat! (2019)
I loved it
I still get to Tuesday and think "YAY! Another Zomboat today" then the disappointment hits when I realise its finished. Please produce more then 6 in the next series! Six episodes is just not enough to get our fix. My whole family watches it together and we all love it. It may not be a serious zombie movie, but its a great comedy, with relevant humour that makes teenagers and adults love it, and theres not many tv shows we can all enjoy together.
Gloria Bell (2018)
For a more mature audience
I can see how some people found it boring, it's a slow paced movie focused on character development. If you like fast paced, action movies with lots of suspense, this movie is not for you. If you like people watching and movies that have depth and lots of character development, then, like me you'll probably enjoy this movie. It isn't full of "nice characters" it's a movie that's realistic, sad, sometimes funny and full of the annoying things that happen in life. Maybe older audiences can relate to it a bit more :)
Black Earth Rising (2018)
Slow and boring
Some people cant understand ow this series got such low ratings, but I cant understand how it made it past a 5! I love BBC dramas, I like the realistic gritty feeling they give you, but this one is painstakingly slow and just gets worse as it goes on, I watched to 4 then gave up. There is just too much good TV out there to be wasting my time trying to push my way through a series I just have no interest in and gets even slower and less engaging as the story moves on.
