The Serpent (2021)
Fascinating rollercoaster ride
Watched the first 3 then had to go to BBC Iplayer to watch the rest in one go. Great cast, great locations & a great depiction of the story. Yes there are the usual artistic license taken but not being aware of the facts it made a wonderful standalone story. There is little gore while getting the inhuman behaviour carried out on innocent soles while depicting the incompetence of many law enforcements throughout the world.
Bag some popcorn & settle down.
The Sister (2020)
Got to pinch a character or two
What the hell was Fagin from Oliver Twist doing in this extremely flawed mini series?
You could go on listing the flaws but it was just drab, the only thing on the plus side was items so bad we needed to see the end.
Then wished we hadn't bothered
The Great House Giveaway (2020)
Here's a fiver fix up this dump
I really like the idea of this show however having watch 4 in a row 3 couples have been given ludicrously small budgets for the amount of work required, I know their expected to do as much as they can themselves but there is a line which is far in the distance. Work your socks off for 6 months for nowt & then get patronised seems to be what it's all about
The Kominsky Method (2018)
Coming of old age
A wonderfully put together bitter sweet comedy with a truly excellent cast, Michael Douglas & Alan Alda have a chemistry between them that shines through & the supporting cast are fab. Really love this clever well written show.
Cheers (1982)
Kirstie pure comedy genius
Watching reruns of Cheers & had forgotten just how good an actress Kirstie Ally is, how she never got more comedy roles is a mystery to me.
Along with the rest of a wonderful cast Cheers takes you back to a simpler less PC world, yes it's kinda sexist but in a harmless way but yet has strong female performances, sharp well written scripts and excellent comedy timing makes it so much funnier than most of the current mundane offerings
Eye in the Sky (2015)
Round & round & round again
Starts strong & gripping but sadly all centres round the decision to strick a terrorist target then arguments ensue over morals & just when you think something is going to happen a reason crops up preventing this and back we go again.
Great cast save it from being a flop & if it covered more than one event could have been very good.
