The producers wanted to have the performance staged outside in Hoboken, New Jersey where the original film was shot and on the night of the last performance weather wrecked havoc and almost spoiled the show for a very special guest. This iconic guest got to see this masterpiece performed for the very last time, he passed away one week later.
