One of the latest masterpieces of extreme cinema!!A terrific allegory of our society!!!
11 May 2013
Warning: Spoilers
A Serbian film is the Srdjan Spasojevic notorious directional debut of one of those movies that depicts violence as an inner crime of humanity.Like Cannibal Holocaust and Irreversible, this movie wants to make us feel uneasy and uncomfortable about violence because,in order to understand violence you must first feel it,that is the main motive of this film,to feel repulsive about violence. Also this movie,it appears to be an allegory of our modern society and how capitalism and money corrupts people and manipulate them in order to do things that doesn't want(there is a particular scene when Milos(main character)inserted into an abandoned orphanage and he has in his ear something like hearing aid, from this hearing aid he receives commands by the director in order to do things he doesn't want,in this scene it looks more like a puppet of government). Also,it seems that the police has something to do with the main plot which i think is also a message about how they are watching our movements.Furthermore,it is satire of other Serbian movies that's why this movie called A Serbian Film. However, the movie in his first steps of screening was misunderstood by the audience because it depicts graphic scenes of violence and mostly for the scene when a newborn baby raped by an unknown adult man(i must refer that is fake)which i think is also an allegory. Many called this a torture porn with pedophilia but in fact it supposed to depicts those subjects in picture to make us realize the evil face of pornographic movies and also to think the possibility that the so called "newborn porn"is a disturbing reality that we all afraid.

Advantages:A really well-made,well-written disturbing movie and with a great soundtrack. Also, the acting of Srdjan Todorovic as Milos and Sergej Trifunovic as Vukmir was perfect, the characters was well-written and with a background story.

Disadvantages:Some really nasty scenes that are very hard to watch because of its sexual and violent content.

Conclusion:A disturbing masterpiece with a great story, perfect acting, haunting score and characters with personality.

Dead Shadows (2012)
6/10
A pretty good and worthwhile film from a newcomer!!!
10 May 2013
Warning: Spoilers
Dead Shadows is an independent low-budget movie which actually is very entertaining. It has some elements from older horror movies like the John Carpenter's classic,The Thing(1982)and also includes some elements from Body Horror genre which are similar with David Croneberg's masterpieces.

Advantages:From start to the end this movie has a very powerful climax because of the well-written main character(Chris)who becomes from an innocent boy to a ruthless killing machine. Also, the cinematography was really good for a low-budget movie.Furthermore, i must refer to some very interesting CGI effects which seems very familiar to an another post-apocalyptic movie called Cloverfield.

Disadvantages:Unfortunately, they are many. The main problem with this film are the characters that are undeveloped and without any meaning in the film. Also, the characters doesn't have any background story except from the main character. An another problem is the plot which is also undeveloped and with a lots of plot holes(leaving you with many questions). In fact, the plot is a rip-off of other post-apocalyptic movies and that means that the movie doesn't have any originality except from some really well-made atmospheric sequences.Furthermore,TOO MANY CGI which are not necessary bad for a low-budget movie but it could be more interested if the creatures of this movie was a little bit more real.

Conclusion:7/10 A very entertaining movie to spend your time and a worthwhile endeavor from a newcomer.

Demonia (1990)
2/10
Awful!!!!
17 July 2011
Warning: Spoilers
First of all, everyone knows Lucio Fulci from his blood-soaked films and his hardcore content but this film is one of the worst ever.Lets go to the subject,Liza explores archaeological sites with a group of archeologies, some day Liza found an old mortuary where some nuns have died by the villagers and she unleashed the ghost of nuns to kill for revenge. Not so simply like other movies of fulci but is so boring and hilarious at the first part of 50 minutes. The second part which approximately 30 minutes before the end is atmospheric and gory but the main part is awful.

Stay away from this film is boring.

Puppet Master (1989 Video)

Real b-movie!!!
17 July 2011
Warning: Spoilers
First of all,Charles band who write and produce the film which is a spin-off from previous movies with dolls like chucky made this film as an objection to make some money. It is historically the first movie from the full moon production which specialized in low-budget movies. Now lets go to the subject. Some colleague students spent the night in a castle where puppets are alive and kills people.Well that it is a simple plot with lots of holes but what can you expect from a b-movie of its kind. Also the movie includes some great gore effects, sordid sex and a creepy music from Richard band(the brother of the writer).

Finally the movie stills to be a recommendation for a fun-ride

A gore-fest masterpiece
8 January 2011
Warning: Spoilers
What can i say about a movie which combines gore with creepy atmosphere so well.Demons is a movie about a group of people where visit an old theater and see a movie which is about demons who possessed humans.Soon will realized that the movie is real and one by one will become demon and kill each other, only some people stay alive and waits for help in the closed theater full with bloodthirsty demons.Well Lamberto Bava(son of Mario Bava)makes his stunning effort to a world of violence and depravity reenact demons from hell going for blood. The movies contains creepy atmosphere like the style of George.A.Romero's night of the living dead(1968),and such a good gore effects in the tradition of Tom Savini like Dawn of dead(1978),althought the movie have lots of plot holes which never explain.

The movie is a masterpiece in the Italian horror genre and succeed to be a cult classic.
