Road House (2024)
Good Until McGregor Shows Up
The title pretty much says it all.
It's good, not great. Jake and all the supporting cast make a good job, especially Billy Magnussen and Arturo Castro. The both of them plus Jake really carry the movie.
Story is ok, predictable, but that's to be expected form this kind of movie.
The fight scenes are ok, nothing memorble but not bad either.
And then, McGregor shows up, and turns every scene he's in bad. Scenes he's not in are still good, but everytime he's there it's borderline unwatchable. I really don't understand why they got him instead of any real actor. He can't act and honestly isn't even the best fighter in the movie.
Ms. Marvel (2022)
Everything I was hoping it wouldn't be
Poorly written dialogs where everyone speaks without ever actually saying anything. More than cliché characters and story. All of it "hidden" by saturated colors (the show looks good I can't deny it) and on screen textos/drawings.. Because of course they're gonna put textos and drawings everywhere, the main character is a rebellious 16 years old. I'm gonna change the rating and edit the review if the show gets better but considering what D+ has done to the mcu lately I doubt it..
Stranger Things: Chapter Six: The Dive (2022)
The incompetence of every single adult is ruining the show.
In this specific episode.. the cops.. who let a kid, who they know has gone mad, convince them to start a manhunt to get rid of kids while they (the cops) stand there and do absolutely nothing. The show has a great main intrigue but the side stuff is just so bad it ruins it for me.
Obi-Wan Kenobi (2022)
The kid that runs faster than everyone else..
2 episodes in and at this point half of the show is Leia running at a solid 1kph while adults jog at their slowest pretending to be unable to catch her. If you thought the vespa chase scene from book of boba fett was bad, believe me you haven't seen anything yet..
The other half of the show, the one about Obi and the inquisitors is good.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine: Blue Flu (2021)
Will the rest of the season be that way?
They did it again.. Episode 3 isn't as bad as episode 1 but still.. A cop show that bashes against cops.. It is unsubtle, it is not funny and it is, again, misplaced politics.. At this point I'm not sure I'm gonna watch the rest of the season..
Community: Regional Holiday Music (2011)
Good musical special episodes are not a thing.
This episode is like every other musical episode of any show ever. People poorly singing on poor beats. And the very few jokes they try dont land because they're trying so hard to follow the beat of the music that they miss the timing of the joke. In this particular case, the worst part is that they acknowledge that musicals are the worst at the beginning of the episode, yet they still do it, probably trying to be meta or something.
Snowpiercer (2020)
great first season, but the second one is disapointing.
Melanie was by far the best character in the show but then for some reason they send her away for most of season two and then kill her offscreen?! The first season was good because of her, she was the perfect villain, the villain that is actually trying to do the good thing, the villain that isn't one. She was a perfect multilayered character that the audience could relate to and she was replaced by the most cartoonish, uninspired 1000% evil villain that just seems to be written by and edgy teenager that didn't understand all of the depth and complexity of Melanie and why she made the first season so good. So yeah, season 2 wasn't that great, but the last episode, the last episode couldn't have been more disappointing.
Season 1 = 9/10
Season 2 = 7/10
Last episode of season 2 = 0/10.
Avengers: Endgame (2019)
If I could give it 11/10, I would.
I can't believe how well they did this. My expectations were so high and yet there is nothing I would change about it. Im seriously speechless.
