Ally McBeal (1997–2002)
Watching World From Another Eye
7 August 2003
I saw Ally Mcbeal once, and come to think of it, i have hated it. What was the point of watching a show from an eye of a sick person. ( Yes, she is sick, physcologically.)

Well, it turned out to be interesting though, it is gripping and actually some episodes touched me. It is shown at 2 am up here, and as a night-bird, i never sleep before watching this.

Acting is brilliant, John Cage and Richard Fish got me in hysterical laughs sometimes, but skip that , im not watching this series to laugh.( If you want to laugh , try Friends. ) Flockhart is amazing , the perfect role for this disturbed adult who does not want to grow up. Lucy Lui and Richard Fish are the most funny couple i ever saw, but analyze this. These people are both over-materialistic and they think they are strong, but is the real might depends on never risking? And we have someone else out there, Ally Mcbeal who is helpless and fragile, but she does things others cannot even dare to.

This series are about love, about family, about friendship. Really well directed with memorable scenes. ( I still remember how Lucy Lui said: " It was just a child and he was going to die!" then stormed out crying without others seeing. )

There are few minuses though, lots of bs are given for basic people. If you can read the sub-context, you are there , and you can watch it, it is a experience worth-having.

Tempted (2001)
Original idea, well put.

I found the film nailed me from the beginning, this film has nearly everything a decent film has to have , good-great acting, an original concept, a good trace of the pilot, many turns and twists...

See this film without high expectations, its not a classic , but a film that will keep you on your seat while watching it, thats for sure.

Choke (2001)
7/10

Films is forgettable, but really takes you on a ride. Madson and Hopper are really incredible, especially Madson. Most of the film there is suspense, and you see how people can change under certain conditions. A physco playing with a successful lawyer like a puppet, and it ends all well,

I would give it a 7/10, it is a one-flick movie though.
