The plot itself is ridiculous. And the scene where the protagonist reforms is a big facepalm. I seriously don't understand how Arjun Sarja who had done 100s of films even advised his nephew to act in this trash! Movie is full with irritating cheap dialogues, brahmin bashing for no reason. It also hurts the religious sentiments of Hindus again for no reason. The protagonist can't act or emote properly even in a single frame of this movie. They just got lucky to market this trash using his physique for the movie and the song which went viral because of a mistake done by a background dancer. The movie was only 3.2/10 on imdb when released. Now it's 5/10 because of the influx of 10/10 ratings spammed by the marketing team of the movie.

The first half really tires us with pathetic comedy, poor performances and lacklustre and unnecessary songs.
The interval had a really good twist which created a hype for the 2nd half of the movie. But again it fell flat with cliched and poor comedy.
The main problem of the movie is the screenplay and direction. The screenplay is not interesting at all and the direction is way poor. The characters make us feel watching an amateur skit instead of a movie. Most dialogues have a big pause before the next person speaks. I wonder if they added the footage without editing and just muting the cues during the shoot.
Overall a waste of time and a wasted opportunity.

The movie is a blatant copy of the superhit movie Saamy which came 13 years before this. The story structure is so similar even the end except for few differences.
But the writing is absolute garbage. In one of the scenes the hero, a cop will ask his subordinate if he pulled the trigger unknowingly to load the gun. Won't a cop even know this? So poor writing. In another scene the hero's son who will be around 5 years holds a gun and shoots.
Boring movie overall.

After seeing some youtube videos of how good the movie is thought to give this a try. But I was sceptical because of the ratings on IMDB.
Even then decided to give it a go. BIG MISTAKE!
The movie starts of with a murder mystery but once the investigators come in the second scene I realized this is a bad movie. The investigators throughout the movie try to pull comedies which is unasked for in this horror movie.
Also the logic at the end is hilarious. Ghosts work different for different people and decide to let go of this one character even though that character killed them.
Save your time and avoid this garbage.

The movie has the exact template of National award winning "Visaaranai". But when dealing with the depth it comes nowhere near to it.
the logo of the movie is also cheap attempt to exploit the sensation of "Thoothukudi firing incident".
Writing is just okay with a good non-linear narrative for one of the scene. The screenplay is not mature at many places and the dialogues are terrible. Most dialogues are taken from memes from social media. The protagonist doesn't even have the maturity to deal with a cop.
Casting - except for the antagonist cop and the other cops all others including the protagonist are mediocre.

Ki & Ka tells the base story in the trailer itself. Hence there's no surprise in that. But there are lot of surprises which will turn our guesses wrong.
Writing & Direction: Balki scores in both. He had carefully analyzed what viewer will guess after watching the trailer and had taken the story opposite to that. Direction he scores because he had made Arjun Kapoor act in this flick.
Balki has explored the areas of the "Egoism of Women" and the "adjusting nature of Men" very well.
Yet, the climax is bit rushed up and not that touching which is a minus. (1 star removed)
Screenplay: Screenplay is fluctuating. There are many moments which are fresh hook us to the movie. At the same time, some are either dull or clichéd.
Cast: Kareena and Arjun both play a good match, despite their age difference. Kareena looks a bit old in some close ups. But the make-up is to be blamed. Supporting actors play their part well and add a plus. Amithab Bacchan and Jaya Bacchan's cameos adds good laugh.
Music: Songs by various artists make every number a well cooked one. "High Heels", "Foolishq", "Most Wanted Munda" tops the list though. BGM by Ilayaraja adds soul to the film.
Art: This needs a special mention. The interiors of their apartment in the movie looks both cool & stunning. Be it the kitchen, bedroom or living room it's so cool.

Complaint about this movie is that the story is predictable. Yes. Even Airlift movie's story is predictable. And in case of sports based film there's mostly the same story line. "A coach/player will lose and eventually win themselves or make someone win at the end".
It's the screenplay which makes the difference here!!
Screenplay - No-nonsense and straight to the point. It deals with the characters' screen time perfect. Nothing more. Nothing less.
Direction - Narration by the director is really good. Not fast paced. But well paced. Director had brought the things required for the film very well . Be it the acting or the environment.
Acting - Ritika Singh steals the show. There aren't words to describe her performance. Only when watching the film we realize. Madhavan as usual sticks to the character and performed just perfect!! A live example for versatile acting. Other supporting characters contribute their best. Only con is that some unknown faces don't make us feel emotional at times.
Music - Soundtrack of the film as audio doesn't bring much. But when combined with the frames of the film creates magic!! Santhosh Narayanan has given one of his best works.
There are many moments in the film where the wit of the director is highlighted - be it the jokes or the twists or social issue, they have been blended in the picture smooth.
Watch it for Ritika Singh, Madhavan, Sudha, Santhosh Narayanan!!

Gripping till the climax!! One of the best horror movies since The omen.

Orphan is the biggest relief for horror fans after a very long time. Period!!
Note: I'm not going to reveal any suspense here.
The movie does not contain much gore or violence or cheap horror which most of the horror movies do (sadly!)
This movie I rented after seeing an ad on HBO ( I don't want movies in HBO as they cut a lot) . I don't remember this ever being released in India.
Coming to the movie. The movie scares you building atmospheric tension like many successful first class movies like The omen(1976.. not 2006 ) , The exorcist, Yaavarum nalam (13B ).
The casting is excellent! Especially Isabelle Fuhrman (just 10) , Vera Farmiga and Aryana Engineer ( who played the hearing impaired kid).
The movie storyline is revealed much in the trailer; "Family adopts a girl and something is wrong about her".
The story of how each person gets suspicion about Esther, is given more detail and in a tensed way. The ways of finding more truth about Esther is done slow and makes us gripped to the story.
The twists are few but will surely blow your mind!!
The sceneries are perfect. The cold weather and snow covered locations add more chill to the movie.
I can't write any more as they will just reveal much about the movie. So just stop thinking and watch this amazing movie.
For best experience: Dark your room. Rent a blu-ray. Use a LED TV. and best if you use a home theater.

Cast: R.Madhavan and Bipasha Basu are good as a pair(Jodi Breakers) but still chemistry is not enough.Madhavan's eyes are expressive. Dunno why they gave him that big glasses which hides them. Omi Vaidhya steals the comedy part after 3 idiots.Bips hot as usual.
Cinematography: It's good especially when it captures the beauty of Greece. But nothing different in this.
Art(costumes,sets): Art is very fine throughout the movie except for Madhavan's Big glasses.

What the hell did i just see? IT was a piece of crap...
If the actor is his son, will the producer waste 4.5 crores (which is high in 2006) for a dumb and lame script like this spoiling the reputaion of his production.. which had given a lot of blockbusters before?
Story: usual kollywood story. poor Brilliant gal loves a stupid dirty boy! another Rich cum brilliant gal loves the same dumb-a**. He loves the poor gal. rich gal along with her brothers create problems. with a stupid final twist.
Acting: Then new comers Ileana and Thamanna did awesome acting for débutantes, while Ravi Krishna... who can't act, dance, jokes at least smile is a useless good for nothing.
CGI: more were spent giving an OK kinda reality yet they were unwanted.
camera: camera is average and doesn't give anything new. Unwanted twisting of it...
editing: editing is horrible with quick cuts killing our brain cells.
Dumb scenes:
10.Ravi doing spider man stunts to save a suicide victim and the victim instantly changes mind. College doesn't take any action for causing the threat and damage.
9. Dodge him with bullet. Nothing happens. He'll stab himself with a an inch thick dagger penetrating 3 inches inside.. a piece of cloth tied around is enough.
8. Escaping from a falling lift.
7. instantly wrapping crackers around him and bursting them to make people move from the ticket counter to get a ticket( which has a clue). dunno from where he got that much crackers in one second.
6. it says 10 rupee ticket. but the paper looks like a 50 rupee ticket.
5. rich gal stabbing her own brother believing the lie by Ravi.
4. Rich gal stabs herself and dies to prove her love.
3. Poor gal turning into mental, and says she needs RAgu (dumb a** hero) but can't remember his face.
2. Hero's dad (another dumb-a**) blowing himself with a truck of LPG cylinders. yet looses only a hand.
1. Hero becomes COLLEGE FIRST just by studying for 1 night!!!!
These are just top 10 dumb scenes.... if u wan't more watch this STUPID FILM!!!

PLEASE!!! Google the picture of Zuckerberg and then see this actor Jesse Eisenberg face? Does it match at least 20 percent???
What type of idiotic casting is this?? Zuckerberg in real life is highly charming person and they select some dumb ass looking stupid who cant even act well for this movie.
Many mistakes with the appearance of sites were there. The screenplay was quite boring and was deviated at times.
Armie Hammer and his body double Josh Pence were the ONLY GOOD part of the movie. They gave us the twin effect.
In a documentary drama they should have avoided things like SEX, DRUGS etc which were just added to commercialize the movie than to bring out the exact story!!!

The film of course started well..Zodiac. then..?? zzzzzzzzzzzzzzodiac you won't be awake to see the rest.. guaranteed!!!
The screenplay was toooooooooooooooooo slow to make u sleep (this would be best choice if u lack sleep some night)
Till date i regretted only for watching "CRANK2:HIGH VOLTAGE" but this was a bigger s#!t than that....
They show lots of unimportant things... in the name of INVESTIGATION...
In earlier scenes some cuts like "20 months later" or "2 1/5 years later" made us think they will find the killer soon...
BUT WAT the F***??? over 20 years and they didn't find the killer? some killer who killed in 60's stops killing in late 70's or early 80's but 3 IDIOTS: A NEWS REPORTER, A CARTOONIST AND A POLICE INSPECTOR...
They investigate.. investigate... investigate..... and that's all... all crappy things...
Then the killer dies in 1992... NOTE: DIES AND NOT KILLED!!!
Then another twist!!! The DNA DID NOT MATCH???!!!
The most stupidest ending.. What did they want?? the audience to think as the killer is not dead he's somewhere waiting to kill??? the killer was in 1960.. this end is good for you making the film in 70's not in 2000's....

I didn't know this was NOT directed by James Cameron, the director who i respect very much.
This movie was full of irritating and yawning sequence... A total waste of resources to destroy with no reason. (The scene Arnold would be hanging on the truck and get hit by a hundred cars... hundred cars WASTED!!!)
Arnold's face is lack with confidence and does no good. His goggles sucks and getting new goggles hen and there were crap.
TX was horrible character loaded with lots of deadly guns but with NO BRAINS to use them properly....
Script was horrible... The script wouldn't be more than 50 pages i bet... cos it was only ACtion, action and action (even they were crappy)...
and lots and lots of mistakes!!!!
And the END.... MY GOD!!! they struggled all throughout to find nothing and get locked in the bunker???
