Yawn
31 October 2023
Just like so many shows before, this series has a character that seems smarter than anyone in the room while coping with a wacky sister and an ex-wife that remain in his life. I was looking forward to the series but each week the plot becomes sillier and less interesting.

The script is often stiff and for several of the episodes borders on preachy and political. Entertainment is what I am searching for when I watch network fare, not a documentary or a teaching moment. So if you need a show to take a nap thru or if your reading while you "watch", this could be the perfect fare, I will watch Monday night football thru the end of the year and then find something else.

Season 3 Lost All Charm
19 October 2023
Loved the first 2 seasons but a couple of very good characters were written out of season 3 and replaced with flat, less talented tv cops. New character-male just does long scary looks and fortunately little dialog. He seems to be in need of special assistance and acting lessons. New character-female needs acting lessons and a better script.

The ensemble do not feel like a group working together, more like a group thrown together to get through a project or something. Scripted conversations are a bit forced and unrealistic. Sadly the series now seems less interesting and definitely formulaic.

Wasn't terribly interested in this movie but as it turns out it was well worth the time.

So Missing Ephram Zimbalist Jr
31 October 2018
Tired plot (tonight the corrupt politician's child is kidnapped), with cardboard characters and frankly Missy needs a few acting lessons she pouts throughout the show and makes everyone around her look wooden and strained. This show will not be on my watchlist.

Insufferable Drivel

Warning: Spoilers
The opening was tedious and predictable.................then the movie got worse. I suspect most viewers could have written this story in their sleep as we have all seen a version of this movie over and over again. The characters are ALL unlikable and frankly I wonder why? Shouldn't we care a little if the main characters are in danger? Really bad script, direction, story.

The Catch (2016–2017)
Lots of potential but little fizzle

Love Enos in anything she tries-she is that good, Krause is predictably wooden and a little old for the role.

The back story on this does not hang together so the weekly story line gets forced into presenting the characters in "silly" mis-steps (oh I am a hot shot detective but I let me fiancé walk right by me??? silly me!).

Everyone is visually appealing but this seems to detract from the show - a group that is too pretty to be likable. Lovely parade of fashionably dressed women (boring) but at least they did not include the token "geek" with glasses and a funny pony tail (this "plastic" show would never include a chubby geek).

Oh and the predictable sex scenes.........yawn.
