Ghahreman (2021)
How could Asghar Farhadi create such gems?
Another Iranian gem! I couldn't move from my place till this movie ended. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. The level of acting is indescribable. It's the feel-good movie of the year. I found it very touching.

A Masterpiece!
Wow! This movie kept me on the edge of my seat. What a wonderful masterpiece! How this gem couldn't have been nominated for best foreign movie? Roohollah Zamani and the other kids were real actors. The expression of fear, loss, and hardship were manifested throughout the movie perfectly. I'd recommend watching this movie for everyone who is interested in knowing more about a single group in society unjustly treated. Well done Majid Majidi.
Nafas (2016)
Wow!
Wow! Every year the Iranians surprise us with a new masterpiece. The directing, the acting and the cinematography are spectacular. I enjoyed every shot of this movie. I think the international film festivals won't overlook choosing this movie as the best one in every category. This little kid, Bahar, convinced me in every move she takes. She played the role perfectly.
Jimmy Vestvood: Amerikan Hero (2016)
A Propaganda Movie
It's a sort of propaganda movie used for political reasons. This movie reminds of the 70s till 90s' ones which depicted USSR as a demonic country. These kinds of movies represent US foreign policy towards hostile countries such as Iran. A quick summary; Our hero wins a lottery and comes to America with his mother. He wants to be a Private Eye like his idol, Steve McQueen, but is quickly mistaken for a jihadist. Meanwhile, he is hired by a U.S. Senator as a bait for a payoff to an enemy agent for weapons to a foreign country to start a war. Got it so far? Doesn't matter - confusion is part of the fun, so just go with our hero (Maz Jobrani), who is brilliantly funny in a way that Sasha Baron Cohen ("Borat") tries to be. Jobrani, however, succeeds and is funnier. Sound like a good movie? Too bad, it's already gone from the NYC area. It's a stupid way of depicting great civilization through trivial means.
American Hustle (2013)
A Waste of Time
I have nothing to add. I'm going post what MarKiss D'a Allen has posted and said about this horrible movie. Perfect acting in fact great acting but it goes nowhere and is hard to understand and follow the terrible plot definitely overrated great disappointment if you really want to see it wait till it comes out on DVD but even then don't say I didn't warn you. most of all the actors in the movie were born for better things than this and last of all We all know an ending makes a movie this one just made it a lot worse sorry everybody save your money please for my sake..don't make the same mistake that I made. Lets all wait for the 2014 year and hope that these actors and directors make better decisions and that we'll make up for the huge and greatly disappointing movie we all just had to witness like I said these actors have all seen better days and I'm sorry but they were "conned" into being in this one.

Another gem from a great director
Every time I watch an Iranian movie, I come up with many thoughts regarding the cast, the story, and the director. These Iranians do the best they could to give us gems to ponder over. I was completely engrossed by this movie. The acting is spontaneous and convincing. Asghar Farhadi, I have nothing more to add about this genius director. I'll never forget his masterpiece Sepration 2011. This movie is another gem he gave us before the last one. It's really a great movie with a stunning plot. I recommend this one for those who look for movies which address their minds and spirit. Don't miss this gem. This is an extremely well made film; it is both beautifully shot and directed. The acting is all top notch and the camera work is such that it has a fly on the wall feel at times as this was clearly not shot in a studio. The emotions are very intense and whilst it can be off putting to be a voyeur on someone else's grief, this is just more compelling because of it. It is in Iranian with good sub titles, only on my copy they were right at the bottom of the screen making some hard to read, but that in no way detracts from the quality of the film. I am a massive fan of world cinema in all of its guises and this is another example of why that genre will go from strength to strength - highly recommended.
The Dictator (2012)
A waste of time.
This movie is not intended for cultured and educated people. I've seen this one with a friend of mine on the plane heading for home. First I didn't intend to finish watching it, but I thought, " I have much time, why not spend some on this trash." I think this movie was produced completely by Israeli ones. It has a political message to deliver to the audience. The theme of the film is utterly absurd. The comedy is artificially unnatural. The is no plausible sequence of events. The main point is how to deform the picture of the other in any possible way. We know Mr Cohen is an English actor, but at the same time he holds the Israeli citizenship.
Intouchables (2011)
Keep the good work, Omar.
My wife was frightened when I was suddenly burst laughing at Omer Sy's spontaneous acting scenes. I enjoyed watching this masterpiece. Omar Sy is a great actor and he deserves an Oscar for his role in this movie. I found Omar Sy's role much more challenging and unusual than Jean Dujardin's... of course, few people make silent films today, but the character itself was incredibly stereotypical. As for The Intouchables, I really liked the film and found it entertaining and thoughtful at the same time .The chemistry between the two leads is wonderful. Not quite as insufferably retro as it sounds, the formulaic film gets a boost from the endearing performances of its leads — particularly Sy, whose ex-con-turned-servant instructs his cultured boss on the pleasures of '70s soul classics and pot-smoking before cleaning up nicely. The racial politics remain as sketchy as the sitcom-style jokes, and Harvey Weinstein smells a hit, having bought both the movie and, alas, the rights to remake.
