This is a dark and moody film, at least that is what it's aiming for. It's trying to be suspenseful and tense but the inherent nature of computers is that they are actually a bit dull. There is a bit of a fight and a chase but it's a bit contrived and it sort of had to be there.
Having a buff, attractive leading man paired with his buddy and a random potential love interest is a tired format as it is and more suited to bank robbing/spy themes where at least things happen.
The geek-speak is exceptionally funny. It ranges from nonsensical to toddler simplicity.
Save yourself a couple of hours. It'll be interesting to see what the tech press say about it, haven't seen any reviews yet but I'm sure they'll turn up. For now though, I don't really have anything good to say about this film and I actually wanted it to be enjoyable too.
