Black Mirror: Black Museum (2017)

Black Mirror has started to loss it touch
30 December 2017
This season opens with an episode that had great potential and a good story line but fails to achieve what it could have. The second episode was pretty good but predictable.Third episode had me thinking was I even watching black mirror as there was hardly any relevanceof technology. The fourth episode took up the topic of dating and ended in a surprisingly refreshing way. The fifth episode takes up the topic of a dystopian future and is predictable other than the end where the reason for the groups travel is revealed. The last episode does justice to the name black mirror it was engaging ,intriguing and above all done brilliantly.

When I first started watching the first season it rocked me to my core and sent shivers down my spine. This season failed to do any of that. This on its own is pretty decent but does not live up to what Black mirror has achieved. Previous seasons improved progressively and had me experience a number of emotions and some even for the first time. After watching the episode "Men against fire" I cried like I had lost a loved one and knocked all contenders for the best TV series for all time for me.

Game of Thrones (2011–2019)

A show which will stand the test of time
14 May 2013
This is the best season that has ever been aired for a long long time. What makes it so special is that every person who sees this season can gaze in its vast ocean of characters and find the one character that echos his personality that is the mirror image of his own self.

Rather than being showing a romantic, hollow and masked portrayal it is rude, bold, passionate, naked and above all the true depiction of the world.Where the wars are not as simple as it seems and love is not happy endings, marriages are held together not by love but by fear, anger, lust and children.Where kingdoms rise and fall on the deceit of men hungry for either power, glory or gold.Where honor to some means more than life but to others just a bunch of hollow words.

This season is a masterclass and i can easily say it is the Mozart of television. This season will pass the test of time for generations to watch the curious ways of the Game of Thrones

Two thumbs up

Humane, outrageously funny and a true depiction of the real world.

I am a Muslim and a Pakistani. I have watched five episodes of the season and have still to find anything offensive against Islam. Yes it is critical of the way Muslims go by in their day to day dealings. But this is the beauty of the season it shows Muslims as humans and ordinary people with challenges that normal people face and how they cope with them. The director and writer of the season have done a brilliant job showing a different dimension of the Muslim life something other than the stereotyped image of Muslims.

It is a must watch for anybody who is Muslim, Pakistani or British. If you are all three and have an open mind I bet you will get a stomach ache after watching this.
