Kaafir (2019)
Good Story and Plot but really poor Execution because of poor direction and screenplay
Where to start? This series is the biggest KLPD in Indian TV series history. First 3-4 episodes are slow but the story seems to go in good direction. But after that, director ne last 3 episodes main tatti kar di. I kid you not, there are really long sequences filmed where characters are eating, taking a walk, entering a house, ordering food and what not. I mean what happened yaar Sonam (Director)? Why is Diya saying "I dont want to be a burden on you" matlab kahan jayegi woh? There was nothing in that angle? Let me come to the worse part, there is no closure to any character but supposedly there will be a new season. Huge tip for the next season, make the episodes too the point and crisp and just below 30 minutes. Dont be too artistic and screw up your own project which could have been great.

The movie is so good that you would want to live in it, its set in old panjab (and not Punjab)
So I bumped into this movie today and it was a long time since I have watched a good punjabi movie. There are so many different aspects of this movie, whether it's the folk songs sung in marriages, or the treatment of notorious fuferji, the pure love (believe me no touching is involved) is so beautiful, the flirt in the form of Ammy Virk or a helpful friend played by the great comedian Binu Dhillon. The movie is set in punjab in the era of 40s, homes made of clay and when if you have passed primary school than you are the most literate person in the village. The strength of the movie is story and script (Amberdeep Singh is the MAN behind the project), backed up by awesome direction (Simerjit Singh) and natural acting by all the characters. The music of the movie is brilliant. So if you understand Punjabi, then don't waste a second.. Go and watch the movie, you can thank me later.
This is my first review, and probably last..This movie deserves everything.
