This is one of those rare films that makes you think about its theme days after watching it. I probably will be thinking about this one for a while. This movie states that we all have a gift then it proceeds to instruct the audience on how to reach their full potential. However, that description of the film does not due it justice. Discover the Gift is so much deeper. During and after this film I felt inspired to do something and to make changes in my life. I haven't felt the rushing energy coursing through my body, since I was a young boy in church hearing the inspirational words of my favorite pastor. This movie brought me back to that feeling, the tingling in my arms, the feeling that I can do anything, and that it's only a question as to whether I will. Overall, this is a film everyone should see. If you are looking to watch something to motivate you, I strongly recommend Discover the Gift.

Not Just Sex and Violence...

I recently had the privilege of viewing Viva Riva and loved it. Viva Riva is full of plenty of violence and sex. However, this is not what the film is about, nor is it so strong that it consumes the story. It is a movie for those who love gangster violence, excitement, and sex in films. Yet, it is also for those who want to see a good movie with a great plot. The acting is excellent, as is the cinematography, and the storyline fits in between scenes of sex and mobster violence. Men will love this film, and women will be able to get into it due to its exciting story, filled with many twists and turns. This film may not be a completely accurate portrayal of the Congo, but this does not matter since it is not a documentary. Instead, it is a fictional, African gangster film. I am not saying to bring the entire family to this one, but I highly recommend mature individuals to see Viva Riva.
