Salaar: Cease Fire - Part 1 (2023)
Most Violent Man: Prashant Neil deliver another masterpiece.
What a gem Prashant Neil is. He has delivered a cinematic masterpiece. Very good screenplay, well paced with enough doses of mind boggling action sequences and Twists. Ravi Bastur has done a brilliant job with the SoundTrack which has raised the movie to next level. Perfectly fits the movie and its context. Prashant and Ravi has delivered 3 very good movies but Basrur is not talked enough, I think. The cast has done well, actually impressive. Prabhas carries the persona of Salaar perfectly. Prathiraj has Broughy Vardha to life. The way he speaks with his eyes. Eashwari Rao is beloevable as the controlling mother. Sriya Reddy gave a stand out performance. Totally Recommend it for multiple viewing. Surely not a one time watch.

A Must Watch
The story on paper seems linear but this movie is a masterpiece. True Cinema. Loved every minute of the movie. It swallows you in as it progresses. I coupd nt move for sometime even after movie was complete. Simple and Pure Love story, an emotional ride. No kisses, vulgarity or over the top scenes but this works like magic. All The Actors worked brilliant, Specially Trisha and younger Janaki. The dialogues are simpe but soulful. BGM is brilliantly embedded into the scenes (not very loud) but that music seomtime creates lumps in your throat due to emotional burst it causes.
Recommend to everyone and anyone.
Ponniyin Selvan: Part One (2022)
an Extraordinary Cinematic Experience of a literary Masterpiece.
PS 1 lives up to the hype it has got since its announcement. It is well made movie where everyone gives their best to translate the work of Kalki on the screen and How (Read Wow!). The Movie is a Visual Treat, it really takes you back to the era of the great Chola Kingdom. It is so brilliantly made that you will not see the actors but the characters they are playing (from first scene itself). Tue Direction, ScreenPlay, cinematography, Pace is Top notch. The casting is perfect for every character. Trisha, Karthy, Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Jayaram stand out. Mani Ratnam has delivered a masterpiece of a movie. The BGM is a little weak (I mean its good but I would think that ARR could have done it better) for a movie this grand. The BGM for Trisha is stand out. The songs are good and well placed (masterfully choreographed and I really enjoyed all of them in the movie). I can go on and on and on.
This is a Great Movie and one of those rare movies which are made once in a decade or so, This is Movie Beat experienced in Theaters (I would say at least twice of thrice). I recommend this movie to anyone who wants to watch a good cinema, visual treat, almost perfect period drama which narrates a time from Golden Era of Indian History and does a great job at doing it.
The Sandman (2022)
A Could be Masterpiece but Alas!
I was so excited for the Sandman, had been waiting since it was announced. Got impatient as the release date was nearing. Episode one did fuel and satisfied my excitement but then as the series progressed, The Sandman started losing its tools to become a real masterpiece. After Episode 5 (The second best episode of the series), it just went Downhill, started to feel like any ordinary second grade series (The Sandman is not an ordinary tale) and becomes a drag while reaching conclusion of first season, Total missed opportunity, I had so much High Hopes from this ( I still hope they work better and improve in season 2). The Casting is really aweful for some characters, biggest let down is Lucifer's Casting (very badly potrayed), Johanna Constantine (WTF! Was that) was such plain potrayal (its okay if you wanted to swap John C to Johana C due to may be copyright issues or whatever reason but Johana C was complete waste (not a ounce of Constantine blood in that character), Both Rose and Jed walker are a bad casting (acting wise very plain and single dimensional, for Rose, they should have done a better casting), so was the old Unity Kinkaid. It seems like the later episodes were made in haste. There have been some briiliant casting and some good castings as well (Morpheus is Good, Lucienne is awesome, Coriathian was awesome, kane and abel are good, Everyone in First episode and 5th Episode were perfect and Death was good in whatever space she had, Special mention of David Thewlis for his potrayal of John Dee). Overall a Disappointment. I would Still Hope that Neil, Netflix & WB would respect the Opinions of their spectators and would improve and Make Season 2 a Masterpiece that The Sandman is and deserves to be. I really want to give it a 10 ratings, but Alas!
Jaadugar (2022)
Simple Storytellind but enjoyable
Started to watch the movie with no expectations but it really surprized me as it progressed. Its a beautiful yet simple story with good direction and brilliantly acted by the caste. Fresh story. Not a single dull moment throughout its runtime. There are some loopholes but its a comedy movie and not a sci fi to stand teue to facts. Really loved the movie and recommend everyone to watch. You will enjoy this lighthearted emotional comedy with a slight tinge of sports added to it.
The Suicide Squad (2021)
Just James Gunn Stuff and Harley being Harley. What a Fun Ride
The movie is what exactly Gunn said it to be. A Fun ride with lots of SFX (good one). Well written and executed punches. Its not a arthouse movie, never intended to be so should not expect that kind of things. It has its own style which is Entertainment only. Harley (Margot) is the standout in all the cast, she is outstanding whenever she gets the screen, Peacemaker and Blood Sport are well done by Cena and Alba, Melchior playing Ratcatcher impresses along with Sebastian. Gunn has wasted Polka dotman, they could have made the movie without him and no one would have noticed. Story is nothing complex, just plain plan where villains are assigned to fights other Villains. Not a dull moment in the movie. Its an entertaining movie and thoroughly James Gunn movie.
Bãhubali 2: The Conclusion (2017)
Bahubali
I thoroghly enjoyed watching both the Bahubali Films. Thats an honest review of the Bahubali Series. Its grand, beautiful, well act, a little shaky storyline, Excellent cinematography and action sequences.
Black Widow (2021)
They could have skipped this one...
I must start with saying that this is the worst MCEU movie of all. I dont know what they were thinking while making this. Everything here is way below Marvel's standard, no storyline, very plain acting, fight scenes are not impressive at all (they should be considering its a Black Widow movie), flat and uninteresting dialogues, bad direction and screenplay, everything is below average. It was a long wait for this movie and the end product we got after this much wait is a disappointing one.
Hungama 2 (2021)
Not As Bad As Ratings Suggest
Movie is not as bad as ratings suggests. It has its moments. Its not there with the previous Priyadarshan blockbusters but its one time watch for sure. It did miss the Priyadarshan's trademark climax madness but overall not bad. I am however surprized with so low ratings, definitely deserves better ratings.
