Bermuda City (2013)
What a fun ride
I love independent content and I love the idea of someone doing an indie series. This a really fun well crafted sci-fi thriller that is also a sequel the feature film Dormant. You do not have to have seen Dormant to enjoy the series though. Keep up the great work can't wait for Burton's next project.
Watchmen (2019)
1-3 is a great 1st act
Lindeloff has not given us the Watchmen we want, he gave us the Watchmen we deserve. This show really feels like the New Testament to Moore and Gibbons Old Testament. So far this show has equally challenged both extremes (liberal and conservative). It's also challenging how we talk and view race relations by using actual history.
All while having great characters and a thoroughly engaging story.
I love this show keep up the great work Watchmen team at HBO
Carnival Row (2019)
This may replace GOT for you
My girlfriend and I are hooked. With GOTs lack luster final season we where left wanting good fantasy. Well this is it, it's a completely original story that has the scope of GOT. It has a wide variety of characters as well but it sets its self at the dawn of the Industrial Age (or their version of it). I almost wish there was a book so I could know what happens next. Can't recommend enough
Dormant (2018)
A Fun Ride
Jay Burton has a wonderfully plotted thriller here, it builds in an almost Hitchcock like way right up until the end (where Burton sucker punches you with the twist). Expertley shot film, I loved seeing my home state of Alabama filmed so beautifully. This film has complete rewatchability, Dormant is full of little bread crumbs many I missed the first time through. Definitely recommend if you are in the mood for something that is a cross between Hitchcock, a spy film, and some good old film noir.
