Hellraiser (2022)
Just nonsense
It was so far away from the source material. I mean plain garbage. I really wanted this to be good. I'm a huge Hellraiser fan, movies, books, and comics. This is just a waist. I didn't care about the characters, the story and plot was boring, and the new pinhead just was lacking. I mean the fan fiction Hellraiser Redemption was better. Even Hellworld was better with young Superman and young Lagertha. But this here, this movie here is inflated garbage. Good thing they had the foresight to not release it in the theaters and save everyone their hard earned money. But, if you want to watch a movie about addiction and a few demons in it, then here you to.
Bel-Air (2022)
I think some of you are missing the point.
If you think this is a reboot of the light hearted sitcom of a disenfranchised youth, wrong. If you think this is a realistic outlook of what the original was, you got it. Will Smith and Benny Medina are doing an excellent job of retelling the story with modern society viewpoints. I'm addicted to this show.
Red Notice (2021)
Yay, another movie of Ryan Reynolds playing Ryan Reynolds
Boring drivel. It's like characters from other movies playing Oceans 11 with so many nonsensical twists. Best thing this movie is for is falling asleep, which I did, twice. Don't waste your time.
A Classic Horror Story (2021)
Decent flick
Not what I thought, but I liked it. It had all the main elements of horror. By the way, don't forget to watch the post credit scene. It adds a bit more to the story. Again, post credit scene.
Army of the Dead (2021)
Watch for little hints that make this movie great
So, I noticed a lot of bad reviews. Too bad you missed all the hidden gems that really tie this story together. A good friend of mine, lets call him Kenosha Jay, mentioned in the opening scene, you notice 2 bright lights in the sky, in the right hand corner. As soon as the convoy starts to drive off, they fly out with the quickness. This eludes to alien technology, as well as foreshadows the conversation in the truck about area 51. After rewatching the movie, I found about a dozen more of these nuggets through out the film which filled alleged plot holes some of the other reviewers mentioned. I would suggest, before you run to your moms basement and start bashing a movie, watch it again, understand the details, this is what Zach Snyder is known for.
The Mandalorian: Chapter 16: The Rescue (2020)
Don't forget to post credit scene!!!!!
Just the most awesome thing I have ever seen. This is what Star Wars is supposed to be and it's the right spirit.
Valhalla (2019)
Good for what it is
I love the lore and am a practicing Heathen. I know this takes from the lore and adds its own spin, and yes it's not exactly accurate. But in todays day and age, to take our Gods away from the Marvel Universe and place them in a movie which, I feel, honors the lore pretty well, I will take it.
Star Trek: Picard (2020)
The reason others hate this show is why I love it.
I'm not a Star Trek fan. I've always found it cheesey. Picard on the other hand is awesome. It's action packed, it's realistic, its intriguing. People complaining about the cursing and fighting, calling it immoral, I mean are you children? The world is violent, people curse. I'd rather have a show that relates to today than some utopian unrealistic world. If you're a fan of the old, you may not like Picard, but if you thought TNG was a silly space soap opera, you'll like this.
Ragnarok (2020)
If you know the lore, you will love this show
This is a modern day interpretation of the lore and post Ragnorak. I'm so glad they stayed true. Hail the gods!
Once Upon a Time in... Hollywood (2019)
2 stars cause the ending was good
I love QT, but I'm sorry, I get it's intent and it's art and I'm an older man so I understood all the references, but this movie bored the heck out of me. I sat there and watched and watched and waited. Pacino was good, Margot dancing was probably some of the best scenes, and the crazy ending. Either than that, it wasn't anything special.
A Christmas Carol (2019)
This is realistic and wonderful
Those who don't want to deal with the reality that horrible people normally are horrible due to a horrible past. This is what is accomplished here. All the childish reasons and nonsense is removed, and reality is given here. It's mesmerizing, it's beautiful, it's dark, and it's the closest thing associated to human suffering. If you want a Mickey mouse BS version, watch those. If you want true human nature, regret, and torment, enjoy this masterpiece.
Draug (2018)
If you understand the lore, you will love this movie.
As a practicing Heathen, I loved the accuracy of this movie. Outside of it being a horror movie with a revenge undertone, it depicts the goddess Hel, Niphelheim, The Seidr, and the Runes accurately. Most Americans won't like this film cause they don't understand the lore or pagan practices, but if you do, you can appreciate it.
Captain Marvel (2019)
Wasn't bad
I took my daughter to see it. The action, CGI, story line were all good. I feel the political undertones were what are giving people a bad taste in their mouth. But if you know anything about Stan Lee, he used political undertones in all his comics, so I guess this fits in.
After Life (2019)
Absolutely brilliant
This show is wonderful and brilliant. Ricky Gervais is a genius.
Rick and Morty (2013)
Best thing ever
The jokes are smart, the content is super creative, and it's amazingly funny.
The Green Hornet (1966)
Bruce made the show.
I like this show went a different path than being corny like Batman. Bruce Lee made this show and was the main reason I watch it.
Meng long guo jiang (1972)
Judge it based on the times
This is an awesome film for it's time. A fight scene with Bruce and Chuck was never seen before. I grew up watching Bruce, Chuck, Charles, Arnold, etc. They all had a hand in the type of action movies you see today. Love this film, seen it many many times.
Viking Destiny (2018)
Not a bad flick
It was a decent flick, entertaining. Few things though, the lore is a bit off. Odin has only one eye. The gods dont live in Valhalla, they live in Asgard. Also, they made Loki to be too much like the christian devil, and thats not really his thing. Either than that, entertaining.
Black Lightning (2018)
I dont understand the hate
I like the show. I binged it on Netflix and I found it very good and entertaining.
Deadpool 2 (2018)
What a great movie
One thing I have to echo is the Deadpool movies feel quick and to the point. As much as I love the other Marvel movies, those 2 hour plus movies, feel 2 hours plus. The Deadpool flicks, I know are slightly shorter, keep you entertained every minute of the movie and inspires to watch over and over again. Deadpool 2 offers the same. It's a fun great flick and Ryan Reynolds proves he is the franchise. Loved it
Life (1999)
Great movie
What a great movie with so many great talents. It's a comedy with life lessons and and struggles. Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence do a phenomenal job and by far one of their best films.
Vampire in Brooklyn (1995)
Not for today's society
This movie is not a vampire movie. It's a movie about human behavior, religious hypocrisy, animal behavior, social issues, and difficult choices. I don't feel it will translate well to today's expectations. This is one of my favorite movies.
Cobra Kai (2018)
What a great show
Feels like a realistic portrayel of who these characters would be in today's society. Writing is great and clever.
Avengers: Infinity War (2018)
The comic movie I've always wanted to see
The story, the effects, the way it wraps up all the movies, its just genius. I was at the edge of my seat the whole time.
Peaky Blinders (2013)
One of the best shows out there
I am addicted to this show. I love everything about it. Tom Hardy did a great job in it.
