World War II has many moral-related stories and this is one of them. This is a story of a life in one of greatest war, where an actress in the story has been given no other option instead one that she could not reject. It perfectly shows how naively media during the time could easily steer public opinion, to condemn someone before even being judged in court.

The story is about survival. The plot is good. I think Al Pacino is in his very best role in his character and he is giving his best acting, the overall cast performance doesn't disappoint me either.

If you like Al's act, this is gonna be one that you have to watch.

I was watching this movie with my family in Japanese subtitles. In short: It is a good entertainment for your family if they like Jurassic Park or Viking kind of stories, and luckily mine is in to those.

At first, I had a little confidence with the CG effect used, but I found it okay during the movie. The concept of this movie is to combine legend, viking and a journey/adventure is nice. The scenery is just marvelous, I love it so much. Nice view, I want to see it myself someday. It is the plus 2 points for it.

So, from my side, it is not that terrible, and it is very good for the entertainment.

I like ghostbusters story since young and when I watched this movie I feel very disappointed. It is not about the gender of the main characters, nor the story with is just about hmm..not bad, but the expressions of the characters are so "light" and the jokes are not even kicking any grin.

To make it worse, the story is strongly unlinked from the "originality" from the previous ghostbusters, which is obviously dropping the expectation of ghostbusters fans.

I watched the first 10 minutes and that was enough for me, my advise to you who like ghostbusters is, don't expect you feel the same thrill and comedy flavor brought by real ghostbusters films into this one.

I doubt the producer(s) had strong intention to create good quality movie, maybe they wanted to borrow the fame name for some fortune.

This is the good comedy, the story was originated from comic (in Japanese: Manga) and even with the limited budget the director had a good work in presenting the story and characters very well.

The story is about the clumsiness of teenagers to express their feeling to each other, which were cleverly cooked as this story in the good ways. The Gouda (Takeo) character was created as a good pair to his childhood buddy Sunakawa (Suna/Makoto); where Takeo is a strong, kind & unselfish, and Suna is handsome, cool & attractive and girls at their age are all around after Suna for attention. The complexity of the story began when Yamato (Rinko) came and blended to these two best friend. Where these three characters are be very careful not hurt others, and brings plenty of situational comedy.

The movie itself is nice, its situation, characters are well-set, as per Manga. If they have more budget I bet the movie can be made better. The story is originally made although we may see similar theme in plenty of movies, the way that the author expressing the character's thought and emotion is the key of this film.

I am not so sure about the English translation used since I watched it by listening to the Japanese dialogue, but the way I see it was well explaining the conversation well.

If you want to watch something nice, funny and close to Japanese culture this movie will give some vision. I watched this with friends and family and we all laugh so much. It really makes my day, look forward to watch something like this.

The "Whistling Death" F4U Corsair planes are the actual stars of this movie, the best combat planes ever with killing ratio 11:1 in their short times during 1943-1945. And VMF-214 Black Sheep Squadron is just the legend Ace Squadron with high killing ratio (average 5+) during the pacific war with Pappy Boyington as great fighter and leader. I watched this series when I was a kid, and always in my memory ever since. I even collect the F4U Corsair model planes afterward. I am still trying to watch the FIRST episode the "Flying Misfits" a.k.a episode zero, so if anyone know how to get it kindly advice. This is a good series of the pacific war, yes it dramatized and fictionalized events, but it is very nice to see many REAL Corsairs in formation! Great respect to Pappy Boyington and VMF-214 for your great dedication, you folks did a great job!

I watched this movie without reading any reference (except the trailer), so I think I can write my honest opinion.

If you want to watch it, please bear it in your mind that this movie is the historical basis event that is fictionalize as for entertainment, then you won't get any disappointment. However, if you want to see this movie and expecting the historical summary to be well-presented in there, please consider not to expect too much and be ready for some contradictions to what we learned in the historical lessons in school.

I didn't watch any Turkish movie before this. But I think they spend good effort and a relevant budget for its making, and for the result it is a presentable entertainment, meaning: you can enjoy this movie with relax with the pop-corn in your hands and enjoy some heroic actions.

For the historical point of view itself, it is a bit too one-sided story although some dialogue of Constantinople and Rome was presented, it missed or maybe made up some important details, and I will not say much of those. It seems the director wanted to build the modern historical image of the Ottoman empire from their point of view, and they made it.

As entertainment I score it as 8, and as historical background is 4, the producers, directors & actors did their best in overall which deserve a 7. So the average score I can give is 6.3, rounded up to 6.

This is a "close to realistic" intelligence related movie that I've ever seen, it is so good so I decided to write the review for this movie, my first review in IMDb after only reading for a long time.

Philip Seymour Hoffman was emotionally expressing his act very well, he was surely making a good research researching mastering the emotion and expression to the intelligence work and mission, is a perfect actor to play character of Günther Bachmann, this is the best acting of him.

The story itself, which is based on John le Carre' spy novel, it's an excellent reading, to be honest I enjoyed myself to read the novel after seeing this movie to satisfy more information described in the movie itself, it shows us the good flow of terrorism background, religion and espionage. The conflict was built carefully and systematically into a splendid climax, and this movie is doing a good work to make the story becoming very realistic.

The touchy parts, which are always occur when the person's valuable aspects in life like friends, family, or trusts, bump against the espionage bitter facts where everyone and everything are disposable for achieving intelligence goal, were expressed with perfect emotion and I amazed on how this movie can sync those all, in its flow emotionally.

There will be a legendary conflict in intelligence between US vs Europe which is explicitly shown in this movie very well.

You should watch this movie if you like a realistic spy story, I think you will like it.
