Another dud
Would somebody, please, stop giving money to this man?
It's amazing that he still can find people who would give him money to make terrible, horrible movies.
After so many duds that started with Signs and The Happening and kept on going and going.
I can give him one thing which is: his ideas are intriguing and exciting, but then he steps behind the camera and butchers the idea to bits.
This movie, Trap, has nothing to offer: terrible acting, unbelievable twists, juvenile dialogue and predictable plot.
And for an extra suffering, he introduces his daughter, who was ok singing and dancing until she spoke; oh man, Sofia Coppola is a genius actress compared to her.
Avoid avoid avoid.

I didn't like it at all
I've finished the whole season and I can tell you this:
It's a terrible series, juvenile writing, silly science, holes in the script the size of a football court, labored dialogue, cringe worthy acting, etc. Who was the casting idiot who thought of Joel Edgerton as a leading man? His acting is wooden, lame and unconvincing with zero charisma; I've been following Jennifer Connelly's career since the early eighties and it saddens me that she accepted this mediocre role after having acted in great movies like Once Upon a Time in America, Pollock, Beautiful Mind, etc. A hugewWaste of time. That's my opinion.

I think that I'm a time traveler
I'm pretty sure that I'm a time traveler because I've seen this movie many many times over the past years.
Every single scene had been made to death. Even the Finch character had been played by many actors before.
The question is: why spend so much money on such an unoriginal film?

Terrible script, horrible acting, and a concept that is so unbelievable that it can be conceived for a Scooby Doo episode.
Who funds this vile? Who still has faith in this director/writer/factory of silliness?
What Comes Around (2018)
A powerhouse of a movie
The main feat of this (fly on a wall) documentary is the fact that the director managed to blend in a society that is impenetrable.
There is no clear storyline, only a pool of characters interacting and reacting to daily happenings that are so real and raw that, after a little while, you start feeling the streets, smelling the aromas and living the warmth of those characters.
Saleh was able to bring out a story out of footage that was, seemingly, shot randomly. She brought out vivid characters, focusing on their tribulations and challenges; she made poverty seem like a character, a vicious character, but yet not a criminal.
The characters are poor but sufficient, poor but accepting, poor but happy.
This movie should be studied and analyzed to understand the humanity of this slice of society.
