Deadfall Trail (2009)
How is this a 3 .7. Best I've seen in a while.8/10
the actors all showed incredible heart in this movie, I gotta say it was intense. Awesome, the characters were all on the money. Ending was crazy but I saw it coming from way back. the main guy looked like the dude from hit-man and the crazies, Tim Olpyant or something. I'm high. kinda scary just to think about what could happen if you go to the woods with a stranger and things get twisted and you gotta go to war. See who da man be! Right... so its awesome just don't be a weeping willow and you will enjoy it. Some folks might want to go ahead and stop it when there's only like 2 mins left, completely different feel. Is this 10 lines yet, Christ!
Sublime (2007)
awesomest movie ever!
look i don't use caps or correct grammar so don't hate me for that...sorry. no time to look up, i thought this movie had to be top ten psychological horror ever. Jakob's ladder...not quite but better in some aspects. i have to say i've never felt better about the end of a movie, and i don't even like happy endings. i mean i watched this while cleaning my house and still got hooked by an hour into it. after that i was on edge by the TV the whole time unwilling to move or miss another second, i don't think i'll go recommending it to any of my people because they probably don't appreciate beautiful movies like this. lesson, live and love, don't fear...or the fear will eat you. love this movie, i cant wait for the director to make another. genius. faves. tcm1, evil dead 2, braveheart, 300.
Click (2006)
the best Adam Sander movie ...
In my humble opinion as a true movie buff Click would have to be the best Adam Sandler movie to date... It mixes comedy with sadness in a way I've never experienced. I'll be honest, when he fast forwards his life and realizes his Dad has died and he wasn't even there, I had to cover up my head and hope my wife didn't see my tears falling in an Adam Sandler movie ...Maybe I'm over emotional considering we just had a baby girl 4 months ago, but this movie tore me up, and just when I thought it was one of those movies without a happy ending, like a learn a lesson type of movie the ending came and changed my mind... Now I'm so happy, and I even feel like I might have learned something... Weird.
The Dark (2005)
A Ring ripoff, maybe... Scary... Great... Definitely!
Alright I gotta tell ya, I watch every horror movie that comes out, every one, not most of em', all of them. Usually I try to get my girlfriend to watch them with me too but she wont last 10 minutes unless its a really good one. If she sees a corny lookin zombie walkling slowly chasing off a screaming victim she'll be like, "alright dan, your watchin this one in the bedroom", and BAM! I'm off to the little TV...
Well, Th Dark, I watched about the first five minutes earlier today and thought okay, seems extremely well made, maybe she'll go for it. I got a few friends to come over for some Lasagna and a flick, well. Five of us loved this movie from the opening frame to the last. That was a first...ever. None of us ever agreed at the same time that a movie was even remotely interesting, I mean we all loved it and agreed it is top 20 horror movies ever. So freakin A', whoever made this, and I'll be findin out. Loved it loved it loved it.
It Waits (2005)
Great Movie!! well.. I thought so I bet you'll like it.
First off, I am giving this a 9 instead of an 8 to do my bit to offset the low average, but this movie is at least an 8. Not to mention that it is the second best "creature is gonna get you, trapped/lost in the woods" movie I have ever seen, next to Blair Witch of course. The characters are very likable after about 20 mins of getting to know em', I liked the back story of guilt and shame for the lead girl, she is a very good actress, I am sure we will see her a lot more and a lot more of her hopefully soon. Aside from sitting there trying to say, "hmm, how would I act in this situation" the actors were all believable, who knows how they would act if they saw a seven foot tall monster/demon kill a bunch of people and toy with everyone like a cat does a mouse? The storyline however was kinda ridiculous, a demon trapped in a cave barricaded by a few rock for a thousand years is released when some students go to research the legend. But most bad horror either put me to sleep or are just plain hard to watch, this one goes fast and keeps you wondering whats next. Oh yeah and whoever the director was the bomb. I would bet he will be doing a lot soon. Watch.
