I Care a Lot (2020)
1/10
Angry with a side of rage
3 April 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I am so angry... I made a terrible mistake this morning when I decided to wear my sports (pulse) watch and not taking it off before seeing this.... this.. farse of a movie.. I enjoyed the buildup. I enjoyed getting angry at "Marla" played by Rosamund Pike because i just could not wait to see her get what she deserverd. But then it never happened. And the end did not redeem anything for me.

Apparently the russian mafia according to this movie is the most incompetent organisation that exists because not only did she manage swimming an entire ocean with enough alcohol that were supposed to make her drunk enough to drive off a cliff, she can also hold hear breath for 10 minutes, but wait! There's more! Her girlfriend is the world champion of gas consumption. Oh and suddenly she is James Bond incarnate.

She can track cars with a fake license plate, and she uses disguises and tranquilizers and stun guns like she have been a CIA operative in Afghanistan for 10 years. And when they learn the russian mafia is after them, are they worried? Nooo. Lets just go head to head, because the retirenment industry has taught her so much mob tactics. This movie infuriates me, and not in a good way. ANGRY!!! What a waste of my time this movie is.. SO ANGRY!

No title would manage to capture the greatness of this series.
14 August 2012
I am almost at a loss for words. Usually Norwegian television likes to follow the usual script, which is either reality (which is a prime example of human de-evolution), or a soap which almost always ends with someone crying (badly), or a "hilarious" comedy where every second is filled with some sort of a "witty" punch-line (usually leaving you with a bad taste in your mouth).

But in this show, the television network must have left the decisions to the the writers, producers and actors, and it shows. From start to finish the tale devours you and please, for your sake, don't resist it.

I really cannot describe the show, with a word that would encapsulate the essence of the greatness this show deserves. Brilliant? Marvelous perhaps? From the acting to the script, everything is superbly put in place so that you and me can be swept away into the drama and the really tragic but so disturbingly funny comedy the show displays. Undoubtedly the best Norwegian series I have ever seen, and I would at least rate it as perhaps among one of the greatest shows out there.

I think perhaps it looses some of it's greatness if you are not Norwegian and have to watch it trough subtitles, but I still think that this is definitely a show which should be watched at least once, no matter the audience.

Original, great, tremendous. I do not believe I can run out of good words to say about this show.

Actors Atle Antonsen, Tuva Novotny, Anders Baasmo Christiansen, Agnes Kittelsen, scriptwriters Øystein Karlsen and Kristopher Schau and of course the rest of the contributory staff, I salute you. You have rekindled my faith in Norwegian television.

It is practically impossible to summarize this film, how about terrible?
7 August 2012
I came across this movie some time ago, and decided to check IMDb to see what was the general consensus of the movie. On IMDb I saw people calling it the movie of the century and that this was a movie that should be nominated for awards and whatnot.

So, you can imagine my surprise and disappointment when I actually saw the movie. I mean, the script is absolutely terrible, but even worse is the main actor and for that matter everyone else as well, even Malcolm McDowell was somewhat subpar (or it might just be that the movie was so awful that it dragged everyone down with it), and he was the only other reason beside the IMDb reviews that made me purchase this film. Every single word coming out of "Luke"'s (main character) mouth seem overacted and over- dramatic while still managing to portray a sense of laziness and dullness to his words, I really can't describe it.

I have always been a Mcdowell fan because he has played many intelligent and interesting roles trough his career but I am really speechless about this one. Is he in any kind of financial distress or something?

I don't think I can recall even one good thing about this movie. It's one of those films were it gets funny because it's so bad, but then you realize that the filmmakers are serious and then it is just mindblowing how retarded it gets. So, to reiterate, movie was terrible, actors were even more terrible (espesially the main character "Luke") so please, unless you want to end feeling sad for our society's future (because some people actually liked this.. this.. I am actually in a loss of words to describe this movie accurately. Who in the world liked this!? For your sake, please don't watch this movie.
