The First Wave (2021)
Hard to watch!
We as a society failed here massively. This all could have been avoided if we would have gone into a strict globally coordinated lock-down as soon as the first cases started showing up. I am glad that I was able to convince my parents to isolate, move to our remote condo, and stay away from everybody until they finally got vaccinated.
That being said, those who down-vote this documentary and call it fake, are exactly the same people who have been downplaying the pandemic and making it much worse for everybody else. They should be ashamed of themselves instead of continuing with their bull.
Lastly I would like to express my condolences to everybody who lost a loved one to this disease, and thank everybody who was involved into saving people's lives despite all the struggle and disbelief about how some patients got sick.
It's hard to watsch because it's a documentary about just the first wave. We all had multiple of those. And many less fortunate countries got much worse outcomes. And it's still not over as of now.
The Witcher: Family (2021)
Season1 was great, Season2 was more for people who read the books
I really enjoyed Season 1 a lot, since The Witcher was completely new to me. I started playing the game but apart of that I don't know much about it.
Season 2 on the other hand seemed to run on the premise, that everybody has either played the games or read the books. For me it was a pile of confusing mess.
Season 1 rating: 10
Season 2 rating: 5.
12 Strong (2018)
Good movie
I don't understand where all the negative homoerotic reviews come from. Must be a form of secret desire some reviewers are trying to express.
Politics aside, the movie was good. Acting was solid, and it wasn't one of those movies where you constantly see someone waving a flag around.
I'd like to hear/see what the 12 original guys on the photo at the end of the movie have to say about it.
Locke & Key (2020)
There's a lot wrong with this show.
Not sure if it's the writing, directing, or acting. Most probably all of it but definitely not the budget.
Update: The show got better till the end. Would give it a higher rating, if it would not have gone so bad after the second episode.
His Dark Materials (2019)
Good show, looking forward to Season 2
The show is quite good. The animal deamons are animated perfectly. Most characters are exceptional, but I only have an issue with the actress portraying Mrs. Coulter. Her acting is not really good. Also not sure what is wrong with her mouth, but it's distracting (not in a good way).
Charlie's Angels (2019)
Undercooked Yoghurt!
I feel sorry for the actors. Nothing in this movie makes sense. The action scenes are underwhelming at best.
Star Trek: Picard (2020)
Slow start, but getting better
I got to Episode 8 now, and the show has gained momentum. The story starts to make sense.
In my opinion it contains a very powerful message, which hardcore Star Trek fans should consider.
Without change we would most probably have seized to exist long time ago.
Update: Now that this seasin is over I hope there will be at least a second one.
The Mandalorian (2019)
Good show
Show starts very slow, but gets better towards the end. I appreciate that it season 1 dors not end with a cliffhanger.
The Witcher (2019)
Must see!
What a great show. Really love it.
At first I was not sure if Superman can deliver. I'm happy to admit, I was wrong.
Everything is perfect. The show doesn't slow down like other Netflix shows. I am looking forward to see more.
