BioShock Infinite (2013 Video Game)
10/10
Overall 10/10, Amazing. But lacking things from the first...
13 April 2013
Warning: Spoilers
Overall this is a beautiful game too look at, there is no denying. When you first enter Columbia you feel as if you want to live there. But then you realise they are all just a bunch of flying racists, which kind of puts off the whole living there thing, shame really. The game has great textures, beautiful environments and surroundings, especially on the PC version of the game.

The combat overall is satisfying but lacks variety, its just the standard shooting gallery. There are however lots of different weapons, which is good but you will find that you only end up using about 3 of them such as the sniper, shotgun and hand cannon, as all the other guns are not as powerful. The Vox Populi weapons are all to be honest terrible, i only found myself using them only a couple of times. The Vigors come in useful and varies the gun play only slightly. Once again you'll only find yourself using a certain number of the as some of them feel under powered and slightly useless, such as shock jockey, which after you use to power the gondola to the first lady feels kind of useless. But other vigors are very fun and useful like devils kiss of return to sender and even murder of crows (which unfortunately doesn't beat the bees)

Now onto the story which i'm gonna try and leave out spoilers. The story is AMAZING! It will please any Bioshock FAN. The ending was pure genius which took you back to some familiar surroundings and also explained the whole premise to the story leaving you thinking about the ending for at least the next few days. Although it can take some time to get your head around it but it all makes sense if you listen very carefully to what Elizabeth says in full.

Overall beautiful world which should not be missed, some superb voice acting and great A.I for Elizabeth as she doesn't annoy you or get in your way, shes actually very helpful. Some satisfying combat but very basic with some minor variations to gun play. The ending and overall finish easily bumps the score of the game up to a 10!

Risen 2: Dark Waters (2012 Video Game)
1/10
Terrible combat, Awful looking, Bad voice acting, DO NOT BUY!
10 August 2012
Well for starters a terrible plot line which pretty much rips off pirates of the Caribbean but adding titans, the games combat is stiff and plain very simple but overall unfair, you have to pay 500 gold just to learn how to kick someone? And the look of the landscapes well not to mention every cave jungle or island looks identical with no thought put into the poor, shabby landscapes , everywhere you go you have to wait for the landscapes to actually come together. Quests are also unfair by not giving any clue of what or where to do or go next and are short and meaningless. But apart from that there is some good things about this there is a wide variety of items to buy and sell. Lots of quests to do. A wide range of 'annoying' enemies and of course free roam. But a terrible waste of what could of been a very good game...
