Endeavour: Zenana (2020)

Ridiculous.
27 February 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I have to tell you I love Endeavour and the characters. The whole cast are brilliant and believable. This last episode is total rubbish. How can a young Detective afford to travel abroad at that time? When in trouble how could his supervisor Fred find him in a huge city. Where did they get their firearms? Rural Oxford Police working abroad without authority is total rubbish. The scriptwriters need to get a grip or it will fail.

Very similar to film Citizen X
7 July 2019
When I watched the film it is clearly based on the true story made in to the film 'Citizen X'. The film was made from the book 'The Killer Department' written by Robert Cullen and starred Stephen Rea and Donald Sutherland. I would award Citizen X film 9 stars.

Endeavour Magic
23 April 2013
Well I have just watched the second episode in the new series and was captivated again. As soon as I had finished watching I watched it again taking in all the things I had missed the first time, I have my dictionary/computer on hand to research some of the phrases and words which adds to the enjoyment. I do not listen to opera or classical music but yearn to know what the wonderful soundtrack comprises of. The characters and relationship of Morse and Thursday is captivating. This is British TV drama at its very best. I just hope it is kept real and Oxford does not become more infamous than 'Denton Woods'! The props and vehicles used during the show are amazing and really create a super feeling for the time.

Brilliant Series
15 March 2013
This French Crime drama series is sheer quality and if you are using the sub titles it adds to your concentration and the suspense. The French judicial system is very different from the UK and USA with examining judges being involved with the Police in investigations. Some great characters and great plots combine to make this a series not to be missed. The standard of acting is brilliant with each individual character creating a sub plot. All are very different with strengths, weaknesses and skeletons in the closet. You also have the machinations of promotion, positions and control within the Police and Judiciary to add extra interest I have seen all four series and cannot wait for the next.

Brilliant Series -but you need to concentrate!!
29 May 2012
An excellent programme that will keep you on the edge of your seat. If you are not Danish then it is subtitles for you and then you really have to concentrate. It is definitely a 'no kids or partners disturbing you job' but well worth it. The review of the previous episodes at the start can be annoying but jogs the memory. The political fencing really expands the plot and keeps you guessing just who is involved in the intrigue. The female star is another enigma -how can she wear those itchy pullovers all the time? some last seen worn by Kirk Douglas in The Heroes of Telemark!!! It is a lot of viewing but persevere and enjoy.

An excellent new Series more please
8 January 2012
This is possibly one of the best new series in the last 20 years. As a great Morse fan I was apprehensive but this is superb quality viewing. The cameo appearance of John Thaws daughter Abigail is very touching as is the finale. More please and the new portrayal of Morse is captivating.

No one could ever replace John Thaw but this is an excellent portrayal.

There are some discrepancies as regards the props in relation to the period but they now detract from the quality of the script or the acting.

Look out for his first meeting with Max and the base of his later idiosyncrasies . Thank you.
