The Ready Room (2019)
It's The Wil Weaton Show
Each episode is all about Wil Weaton vacillating between fanboy and bragging about his days on Star Trek. He often interrupts or dominates the conversations talking about himself more than interviewing. It's exhausting. During interviews he often interrupts to interject how his experiences were when on Star Trek The Next Generation. It seems like he is trying to compete with current characters to be seen as equal or cooler than they are. He projects himself as a Star Trek Legend when he was just a supporting character. I feel for him and his childhood, but it is exhausting hearing him monologue about his accomplishments.
Mrs. Davis (2023)
Not true to Christianity or Catholicism
I like the premise of the show and can even tolerate a slow, confusing reveal.
This Nun curses, takes The Lord's name in vain, has sex with Jesus, and another (after being a Nun for over 7 years)
It's painful to watch as a practicing Catholic and we find ourselves fast forwarding often.
Filled with Ef bombs in every conversation. Not cool.
The only part that seems plausible is the reach that Mrs. Davis has into people's lives.
There are two cold hearted, emotionally detached mothers who has zero love or concern for their daughters. The writer)s) must have mommy issues for there to be two of them.
The Mandalorian: Chapter 9: The Marshal (2020)
Sad start to season 2
It's last season's mudhorn and Jawas redone with a dragon and Sand People. Underwhelmed by this episode once we returned to Tatooine. The awkward child holding and equally awkward acting upon landing. Huge letdown.
Star Trek: Lower Decks (2020)
Spoof on Star Trek
20+ minutes of nothing but yelling. Just nonsense, anger, and yelling. I can get that from the news.
Strange Magic (2015)
You have to like Musicals and Fantasy
I am a huge fan of sci-fi, musicals and fantasy genres. If you are looking for Disney animation, pick a Disney movie. George Lucas is the king of compelling and interesting creatures. These are not Tinkerbell fairies, but unique, strange, different, yet beautiful in their George Lucas style. The title gives it away, "Strange Magic." It's not called "Beautiful Magic" so enjoy the strange and unique quality of an entertaining movie that is filled with music from multiple eras and genres put together in a way that makes them all belong together. In our house we like music and we like strange so this movie is a favorite!
