Permission to flex comedy muscles captain?
12 September 2022
"It begins, like all good stories, once upon a time"

Who doesn't love a "holodeck" episode?

Anson Mount is hilarious as the coward and it's a fun episode, until the ending when a surprising tear appeared.

Olusanmokun gets to star and finish this episode with some heavy emotional and great acting. It tugs at the heart strings in ways i didn't expect.

I have to say that I love the dry humour that Hemmer brings to the series also. Great character.

This is Star Trek to me. It can be silly at times but there's always a good pay off at the end and there doesn't have to be an all out battle in space with people dying left right and centre for it to hit home.

Brilliant Sequel
16 November 2011
Although the single player campaign only lasts about 10 hours, it is well worth it! Each mission is fast paced and leaves little time for a breather. You will find yourself wanting to replay certain levels (such as the presidential plane dive bombing whilst you're trying to neutralise certain hijackers). The storyline carries on from MW2 and is just as brutal as its predecessor. As usual the acting is as good as you'll get in a game, such as William Fichtner and Kevin Mckidd.

The multiplayer again stands on its own and introduces new maps, new guns, new rewards and a couple of new game modes! Playing for 1 match or 10 you'll still feel like you've achieved something. You'll be so caught up in the game that when you hear the achievement sound it'll keep you thinking what else have i done? There are a few tweeks here and there to the old style that you'll be used to but all for the best.

The only criticism i can give this game is that there is no space for sniping within the maps that i can find. However that could easily change with DLC in time.

All in all, a brilliant sequel to juggernaut of a series.

All My Life....
16 November 2011
Warning: Spoilers
As a life long fan of the Foo's i thought this would be good viewing but that i wouldn't learn anything new.

Before watching this,i had read an interview with Dave Grohl in which he stated that nothing was held back for this movie. He had the first viewing once it was completed and informed the rest of the band members that they would all find something in it which may make them feel uncomfortable. That's the idea of the movie though, to get everything out in the open. Everything from Pat Smear's departure to Taylor Hawkin's drug problem, keeps you thoroughly engaged throughout. It takes you from Dave's Nirvana days all the way through to the latest album "Wasting Light".

It's funny, intense, inspiring and helps you to understand what has gone in to making Foo Fighters the rock gods that they are today.

Whether you are a fan of their music or not i could not recommend this highly enough!
