The Alamo (1960)
13 days of glory
this movie is centered around the battle of the Alamo. which is the story of 180 Texans defending and army of 1000 or more Mexicans trying to "free" Texans from under the rule of General Santa who controlled Mexico at the Time the This was the movie that would change my life forever. I saw it when I was 13 and when I first saw it I was like wow this is a great movie. Now some nine years later I'm able to poke hole through it. Like it doesn't focus on the men in the fort but rather more on the legend of Davy Crockett. John Wayne is a pleasure to watch on the screen. The battles are done very well and this movie has some very good sound effects. There are some every good scenes in this movie. One that comes to mind is when the men know what the outcome of what they are doing.
Nefertiti Resurrected (2003)
watching a film
We as people watch films for a number of reasons. We want to be entertained, we want to be informed, or we want to have something that stands as a reminder of something that we had like a connection we had with someone. This is not a perfect documentary that is for sure, it contains reacts to give you a picture of what it was like to be in the time period of Nefertiti that are at times a little over the top. However, for me it is a film that I fell strong about because of personal reasons. I always think about Egypt and that fact that it is in Afican but yet I have yet to see in a film a person of color play an Egyptian Queen or King. Also this documentary helped me learn who Nefertiti was. I had always seen sculptures of her around and pictures but I didn't know her name.
